| The rapid development of highways has brought dual benefits to the economy and society.During the 13 th Five-Year Plan period, the construction of national highways developed rapidly, with a total increase of 38,500 kilometers, and 19 provinces having a total length of more than 5,000 kilometers. After experiencing the high-speed development stage, achieving high-quality development of highways will be the main goal during the 14 th Five-Year Plan period. The overall deployment of a transportation power requires the construction and expansion projects of highways have gradually become an important part of regional transportation development. The most significant feature of these projects is that construction and traffic flow simultaneously, which brings multiple pressures and various sources of danger to the construction safety. Therefore, ensuring the construction safety of highway construction and expansion projects has become the most critical focus. This paper summarizes typical safety accidents in past highway construction projects, analyzes their causes, investigates and analyzes the safety accidents of highway construction through the study of highway construction and expansion projects.Based on extensive literature, this paper takes the Ji’an-Nankang Highway construction and expansion project in Jiangxi Province as a practical case.By collecting construction safety hazards, identifying significant hazards, analyzing 16 specific factors affecting construction safety, and establishing a corresponding safety evaluation system, the importance of the factors influencing construction safety is ranked through weighting each hazard.Specific measures suitable for improving the safety management level of the project are proposed accordingly. This paper uses questionnaire survey method, analytic hierarchy process, and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method for a comprehensive analysis and evaluation of the Ji’an-Nankang Highway construction and expansion project. The questionnaire survey method effectively collects information, and reliability and validity analyses are conducted to understand the weaknesses in construction personnel’s safety awareness, among other aspects. The analytic hierarchy process calculates the importance of safety management measures, safety education and training, and construction environment of construction and expansion projects for construction safety.Fuzzy comprehensive evaluation considers the correlation between factors, determines the membership degree of evaluation indicators,The final determination is that the construction safety level of this project falls somewhere between a moderate level of safety and a relatively high level of safety. At the same time, some safety hazards in the project are found, such as the lack of effective safety awareness, insufficient safety management measures, and complex construction environments of construction and expansion projects. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a series of specific measures to improve construction safety levels from various aspects such as work systems, technology, management, and the environment.Particularly,in response to the complex construction environment of the project, traffic organization schemes and traffic diversion measures are proposed to minimize the impact of traffic on construction safety. These measures should be implemented by all parties involved in the project’s construction management, design, supervision, and construction to ensure safe construction and steady progress of the project. |
