Research On Sustainable Development Performance Evaluation Of LONGi From The Perspective Of ESG

The 14th Five-Year Plan has made clear plans for China’s economic transformation,especially for energy reserves,issued plans such as the 14th Five-Year Plan for Energy Development,and deployed and implemented many green transformation measures.In September 2020,China made a solemn commitment to the world to peak carbon emissions before 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality before 2060.The 14th Five-Year Plan and the"carbon peaking" and "carbon neutrality" goals put forward higher requirements for the sustainable development of enterprises.With this concept,the quality characteristics of ESG are reflected,and its diversification as an evaluation method can meet investors’ environmental,social and corporate governance concerns.ESG can make up for the shortcomings of traditional financial performance and evaluate the sustainable development ability of enterprises from multiple angles.ESG focuses more on ecological protection,corporate social contribution and corporate governance capabilities.As a leading enterprise in the domestic photovoltaic industry,LONGi has many excellent achievements in ESG evaluation and sustainable development,but there are also shortcomings,and the sustainable performance development evaluation and research of LONGi has reference significance in the industry.This paper uses the entropy-TOPSIS method to carry out the sustainable development performance evaluation research of LONGi from the perspective of ESG,and evaluates the performance of photovoltaic enterprises from an updated perspective.In this paper,LONGi and four other PV companies at different development levels were used as research objects,and the entropy-TOPSIS method was used to evaluate the sustainable development performance.Through the horizontal comparative analysis of the sustainable development performance of five companies,LONGi,Tongwei,JinkoSolar,Trina Solar and Risen Energy,it is found that LONGi’s financial level ranks first among the reference photovoltaic companies,and its comprehensive strength is very strong.But environmental and corporate governance still need to be improved;In terms of longitudinal evaluation,the data from 2019 to 2021 were selected for analysis,and the results showed that there was a downward trend in the sustainable development performance of LONGi,which required special attention.
