Cost is an important factor directly related to the survival and development of an enterprise,and with the global economic downturn,international tension,increasing competition,rising raw material costs,a single link of cost reduction has been unsustainable,more unable to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises,so how to reduce costs and increase efficiency,better reduce enterprise costs,optimize the cost structure,maximize the value of all aspects of the enterprise,enhance enterprise Therefore,how to reduce costs and increase efficiency,better reduce corporate costs,optimize the cost structure,maximize the value of all aspects of the enterprise,enhance the competitiveness of the enterprise,and stand in the tide of the development of the times has become a difficult problem for enterprises.At the same time,China has stepped into the stage of high-quality development,with the strategic goal of building a high-quality manufacturing power,and has proposed to build a new development pattern with the main domestic cycle and the dual domestic and international cycles promoting each other,encouraging enterprises to continuously improve their independent research and development capabilities,master the core technology,and constantly innovate products to achieve the transformation from Made in China to "Created in China "transformation,China’s speed to China’s quality transformation,Chinese products to China’s brand transformation,promote the gradual transformation of the traditional manufacturing industry,to achieve optimization and upgrading.Standing at the crossroads of challenges and opportunities,it is worthwhile for each enterprise to think deeply about how to seize the opportunities of the times,develop and expand its competitive advantages and lead the market forward.The change and innovation of enterprise strategy is the epitome of combining the background of the times and the business philosophy of enterprises.Strategic cost management is not only the innovation of enterprise cost management but also the inevitable requirement of the times,while the study of value chain provides a clearer perspective for enterprise strategic cost management.Therefore,in the perspective of value chain,especially for a leading enterprise in the home appliance industry like Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to study strategic cost management for the long-term development of the enterprise.Based on the basic theoretical analysis of value chain and strategic cost management,this paper uses a combination of case study,literature analysis,comparative analysis and inductive analysis to analyze the frontier related literature at home and abroad,from the perspective of value chain,through three aspects of internal value chain,external value chain and competitors’value chain,to outline the current situation of the development of the home appliance industry,analyze and discuss the strategic positioning of Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd We also analyze and discuss the strategic positioning of Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd,the advantages and disadvantages of enterprise development,the cost drivers and the specific measures for promoting strategic cost management.At the same time,by comparing and analyzing with other typical enterprises in the same industry and combining with Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd’s own situation,we study the achievements and shortcomings of Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd’s strategic cost management,and also put forward corresponding suggestions for its problems in strategic cost management,so as to enlighten other enterprises and the whole industry,so that Haier Smart Home Co.,Ltd and other enterprises can better implement and promote their strategic cost management.In order to get better practical results and help the home appliance industry to achieve overall transformation and upgrading.
