Research On The Application Of Curly Grass Pattern In Cultural And Creative Design In The Tang Dynasty

Throughout history,decorative patterns and patterns have played an important role in traditional Chinese culture.In traditional patterns,the rolling grass pattern is an extremely important and widely used plant pattern.It not only has a full and dynamic shape,but also plays a decorative role in the entire picture.Its interlocking and endless rhythmic beauty showcases the unique Eastern charm of Chinese culture,and is a perfect combination of artistic form and decorative form.The rolling grass pattern has a long history and evolved from the popular honeysuckle pattern during the Northern and Southern Dynasties,which was popular during the Sui and Tang dynasties.Among them,the Tang Dynasty’s scrolled grass patterns are rich in content,distinct in layers,agile in shape,and beautiful and smooth,making them a model of later scrolled grass patterns.They have rich research significance and value in decorative art and cultural aesthetics.This article takes the Tang Dynasty scroll pattern as the research object,exploring its application and artistic value in modern cultural and creative design.The new era has provided an unprecedented broad stage for the prosperity and development of China’s cultural industry,and the design of modern cultural and creative products increasingly emphasizes the humanistic characteristics and cultural connotations of the products.At the same time,inheriting and promoting the spiritual value of traditional culture is also the design theme of cultural and creative products.The author observes and analyzes the evolution process of Tang Dynasty rolled grass patterns in the four periods of early Tang,prosperous Tang,middle Tang,and late Tang,and summarizes the changes in structure,shape,and color.The Tang Dynasty rolled grass pattern uses an "S" shaped curve as the pattern skeleton,and the decorative elements are tangent to the skeleton with a "C" shaped short line.It has the characteristics of dynamic and static combination,flexible and variable decorative modeling,and complex,beautiful,full and smooth artistic features.On the basis of this research,the author explores the possibility of the combination of curly grass pattern in the Tang Dynasty and modern design,and uses modern design thinking and methods to transform its design.During the design process,representative patterns are first collected and extracted,and the patterns are redrawn using standard drafting methods.Secondly,in the design composition,techniques such as shape gradient and color gradient are used to add geometric patterns,symbols,and textures,giving the screen a sense of rhythm and rhythm.By gradually changing the color hue,brightness,and purity,the visual effect of the screen is enriched.The cultural and creative design practice of the "Tang Cao Sheng Hua" series is an attempt and exploration of the diversity of application methods of Tang Dynasty rolled grass patterns in modern cultural and creative product design.Its design content takes cultural and creative products with different functions and materials as carriers,based on the output shape,function,and material,and reconstructs patterns through tiling,restructuring,deconstruction,and scattering,extending the design of cultural and creative products based on Tang Dynasty scrolling patterns.This design practice aims to help people deepen their understanding of the scroll grass pattern of the Tang Dynasty and the cultural value behind it,and provide more reference for the combination mode of Chinese traditional culture and modern design.
