At present,most research of the automatic control systems for rail vehicles are built on the basis of moving block or quasi-moving block sections,and they are mostly used in new urban rail transit and new high-speed railway construction.However,the traffic block method of existing ordinary speed railway lines is fixed block,so the automatic control strategies and methods of high-speed railway on ordinary speed railway lines are not applicable.At present,there is no mature automatic control system for common speed railway.As an important part of China’s railway network,ordinary speed railway plays an important role in national defense,regional economy and social infrastructure.For China’s railway intelligent planning,we have a new goal for the intelligent high-speed railway,at the same time we have an urgent demand for the automatic driving technology of common speed railway.Meanwhile the moving block has high requirements for the accuracy of equipment and real-time transmission of information,and the cost of line laying is relatively high,so it is not feasible to relay new lines for existing lines.Due to the characteristics of wide coverage and complex terrain of common speed railway line,direct upgrading of ground line equipment will also face greater difficulties and economic pressure.Therefore,considering to the characteristics of the existing fixed block method in China,this paper designs a train controller suitable for four display automatic block section passing signal without changing the existing line equipment.The controller receives the information of ground and locomotive signals,and makes corresponding control decisions to control the train operation according to the information of train speed and running distance in the section,the requirements of technical regulations and the experience of existing drivers.The controller designed is divided into two parts: selector and manipulator.Selector is equivalent to the train driver’s brain,which is responsible for processing various signals,speed,distance,logic information and making corresponding decisions.The manipulator is equivalent to the four limbs of the driver,which makes the corresponding action to the decision of the selector.After receiving the ground signal and locomotive signal,the controller realizes the automatic operation control of the train in the automatic block section through the four-display signal section by the judgment of the selector and the execution of the manipulator.The single particle model and controller of ordinary speed train are modeled and simulated by Simulink.In this paper based on the common change law of passing signal,the train operation control process is simulated in three working conditions.The results show that the controller can make corresponding decisions according to the change of signal,control the train operation,and meet the requirements of train operation when the signal of pass signal machine changes.
