With the rapid growth of automobile ownership and the frequent occurrence oftraffic accidents in China,the requirements for vehicle crash safety performance arebecoming more and more stringent.In the research and development of a car,there search on the safety performance of the crash has been running through it.In order to reduce the casualty rate caused by automobile collision,each major automobileproducing country has formulated strict collision safety regulations,and the new carcrash safety evaluation system(NCAP)jointly formulated by governments,insuranc ecompanies,consumer organizations,automobile clubs and other relevantorganizations also plays an important role.This paper,a certain SUV model was selected as the target vehicle,and the 50%overlapping moving progressive deformation barrier collision simulation test(MPDB working condition)was carried out by using the finite element simulation method.Firstly,according to relevant model data and C-NCAP Management Rules(2021Edition),useing Hyper Mesh establish the MPDB finite element model,and thematerial and boundary conditions were defined by LS-Prepost,and then the finiteelement model of the target vehicle was solved by LS-DYNA.Secondly,the post-processing software Ls-Pre Post and Hyper View are used toanalyze the data of the target car collision,including: energy changes during thecollision;Deformation of bumper,front rail,front coaming,A-pillar and otherstructures;Velocity and acceleration at the lower end of pillar B.Further analysis of various data according to C-NCAP Management Rules(2021 Edition)shows that the car has a good crash safety performance.Then,the indicators of MPDB trolley under collision are analyzed,including Standard Deviation(SD),barrier invasion depth and barrier invasion height.Through the analysis of the collision result of MPDB sled car,it is clear that the collision compatibility of the target car is not ideal.Finally,the compatibility of the target vehicle is optimized,and the secondaryanti--collision beam is added to the front structure.After optimization,the target vehicle was subjected to 50% overlap Mobile Progressive Deformable Barrier collision simulation test.By comparing with the key data before optimization,it was concluded that the optimization method was feasible.This paper has a certain referencevalue for the study of vehicle crash safety performance,the analysis of vehicle crashcompatibility and the optimization design of vehicle body structure under MPDB condition.
