The large cruise ship is the only high-tech ship that has not been independently designed and built by our country.Compared with traditional passenger ships,the huge superstructure is the difficulty of its design.The long-span deck structures are often used in the superstructure of large cruise ships for cinemas,performance halls and lounges This kind of structure has the characteristics of thin plate,dense opening and high web girder and beam,long span and few pillars.The long-span deck structure leads to the overall weakening of superstructure and even hull strength.At present,our country is in the initial stage of domestic design and construction of large cruise ships,and there is no clear design method of long-span deck structure of large cruise ships.Therefore,it is necessary to study the ultimate strength assessment method of longspan deck of superstructure of large cruise ship.This paper takes the long-span in the superstructure of the large cruise ship as the research object,and presents experimental and finite element analyses of the ultimate strength of the long-span deck.The specific study contains the following aspects:(1)The research plan of this paper was determined by summarizing the methods for ultimate strength assessment of stiffened panels,buckling failure modes of stiffened panels and nonlinear regression theory.(2)This paper summarizes the characteristics of long-span deck structures of large cruise ship superstructures,calculates the slenderness ratio of long-span deck structures of cruise ships.The structural characteristics of long-span deck of large cruise superstructure are clarified by comparing with traditional transport ships.(3)The long-span deck in the superstructure of the large cruise ship was taken as the research object,the model test of long-span deck structure under combined axial and lateral loads is completed based on the similarity theory.By comparing with the results of non-linear finite element simulation,the stress variation law and flexural failure form of the long-span deck structure under combined axial and lateral loads were obtained.The result of the experiment also verifies the accuracy of the method of finite element calculation(4)The long-span deck of a real ship was taken as the research object.The influence of different factors on the ultimate strength of the long-span deck was obtained through the method of finite element calculation.(5)According to the slenderness ratio characteristics of long-span deck structure,an empirical formula for assessments the ultimate strength of long-span deck is proposed based on the finite element analysis results.It provides a basis and reference for the design of of long span deck of superstructure of large cruise ship.
