Design And Application Of Low Sitting Living Style In Contemporary Home Stay Space

The low sitting way of life in this topic mostly refers to the practice of sitting on the floor with a low view and low posture.This method of life is somewhat uncommon in our modern society,yet from the pre-Qin Dynasty until the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty,low sitting dominated the social life of the period and reflected the living culture of the time.In China,relatively few specialist theoretical works on this part exist at present.Most of the knowledge points about low sitting and living styles are distributed in the study of ancient furniture,the study of ancient sitting,ancient life,and the study of ancient social thought.The author summarizes and unifies the sections pertaining to the study of low seating and living,and then elaborates on them in a methodical manner,so that readers may better comprehend the cultural history of low sitting and living in China.At the same time,the author combines modern architectural interior space theory to study and debate the manner of low sitting and living,so that it may be used to contemporary B&B space design and promote the diversification of B&B design.This study begins with a theoretical presentation and objective analysis of low sitting and its application in Chapter 2,followed by the development of a design case practice through empirical case studies.This paper’s research body is approximately divided into the four sections listed below.In the first section,an overview and analysis of the living culture of China during the Low Sitting Period in terms of social ideas,human life patterns,interior furnishings,and interface design are offered.During this time,the Chinese social structure was based on the clan system,and hierarchical living relationships were established.Through the study of the evolution of living style to comprehend the social life background of low sitting living,examine the sitting posture of the low sitting period and the difference between living in each area to comprehend its life pattern.From the perspective of low-type furniture and space interaction design,the objective space generation during the low-sitting period is understood.In the second section,we examine the application of the low sitting living style in light of contemporary design theories and describe the interaction between low sitting living,people,and space in a methodical manner.Using Japanese residential life as an example,the design aspects of Japan’s old and new living spaces are evaluated and adopted,and the reapplication of low sitting culture in China is considered.The spatial aspects of low seated life are investigated in terms of objective space formation.In the third section,background research and an empirical investigation on the topic’s future research direction are undertaken from the standpoint of incorporating low seating into B&B design.The current situation of B&B design in China is explained in detail,and contemporary B&B design cases are analyzed and evaluated.Furthermore,the design use of low sitting dwellings in B&B space is positioned and reconstructed,and the specific methods of integrating low sitting dwellings into B&B space design are elaborated.The fourth section is my design practice case,which examines three rural houses in Gaojia Village,Tianmu Lake,Liyang City as a design transformation project,analyzes the surrounding environment,and creates a comprehensive plan for the original buildings.The low seated living style is appropriately applied to the contemporary B&B interior design based on the preceding section’s theoretical research.
