| With the continuous and rapid growth of car ownership and the number of drivers, the issue of road traffic safety has attracted more and more attention and discussion. The abnormal driving behavior of drivers can often directly lead to the occurrence of various traffic accidents.Almost all kinds of serious traffic accidents cause huge harm and loss to individuals, families and society. How to intervene and correct abnormal driving behaviors of drivers is the key content of human factors research in road traffic. Therefore,in this research,we investigated the influencing factors and internal mechanisms of abnormal driving behaviors from the perspective of positive psychology mindfulness.Study 1 systematically reviewed and summarized the relevant literatures by using the meta-analysis method,so as to clarify the relationship between mindfulness and abnormal driving behavior.Fourteen literatures with 14 independent samples and a total of 3656 participants were included eventually. The results showed that there was a significant negative correlation between mindfulness and abnormal driving behaviors, that is,drivers with higher levels of mindfulness have less abnormal driving behaviors. In Study 2,a questionnaire survey was conducted among a sample of 360 participants with driving licenses to explore the internal mechanism of mindfulness affecting abnormal driving behavior. The results indicated that mindfulness can significantly and negatively predict abnormal driving behavior, while risk perception plays a mediating role between mindfulness and abnormal driving behavior, and cognitive reappraisal can moderate the effect of mindfulness on abnormal driving behavior.Based on a driving simulator,in Study 3,a driving simulation experiment was carried out on another sample of 62 participants. The results suggested that the interaction between mindfulness and driving experience on abnormal driving behavior was not significant, while the main effect of mindfulness and driving experience was significant. In other words, compared with the participants with low mindfulness, the participants with high mindfulness showed less abnormal driving behavior;Compared with fresh drivers, participants with driving experience also showed less abnormal driving behavior. In conclusion, our research verified that a driver’ s mindfulness level can affect his/her abnormal driving behavior. The higher the level of mindfulness, the less abnormal driving behaviors during driving. These studies have important theoretical and practical value for reducing the accident rate caused by drivers’ abnormal driving behavior and scientifically intervening drivers’ abnormal driving behaviors. |
