With the rapid development of China’s modernization, more and more attention has been paid to urban environmental problems. As the representative of China’s Park City,Chengdu has taken the lead in the construction and maintenance of community parks. The increase of urban green space makes people more willing to carry out outdoor activities, and the elderly are the people who use parkland most frequently. Therefore, the research on the outdoor thermal comfort of the elderly will play an important role in improving the utilization of outdoor space. In addition,as the development direction of architecture, the research on thermal comfort is becoming more and more in-depth,but the existing research still has some limitations. This study takes the elderly in Chengdu as the research object, obtains the actual data through field measurement, questionnaire survey and physiological measurement experiment of the elderly, and carries out analysis in combination with evaluation indicators and mathematical methods. In this paper, microclimate measurement and questionnaire survey are used to provide data support for putting forward appropriate thermal comfort evaluation indexes and thermal preference indexes, and ensure the authenticity and reliability of the research conclusions. In order to compare the existing thermal comfort evaluation indexes, this paper compares the advantages and disadvantages of each evaluation index in detail from the aspects of calculation conditions, the influence of various environmental factors, the correlation of linear regression and the comparative analysis of index standard scale. Finally, the Physiological Equivalent Temperature is used to evaluate the thermal comfort of old people in Chengdu, and the range of comfort pet and the preference of each index are calculated. In this study, the changes in skin temperature of the elderly were measured by simulating changes in environmental parameters, and the thermal comfort zone of the elderly under different wind speeds and solar radiation in each season was obtained. However, according to the physiological performance of the elderly, they cannot be exposed to the wind environment for a long time, otherwise it will affect the health of the elderly. In summer, increasing solar radiation will reduce the outdoor thermal comfort of the elderly, which is just the opposite in autumn and winter. In addition, the outdoor thermal comfort skin temperature range of the elderly is calculated by measuring the outdoor skin temperature of the elderly. This method can be used to evaluate the outdoor thermal comfort state of the elderly, and finally calculate the best combination of outdoor environmental parameters for the elderly. The research in this paper shows that the average skin temperature of human body can be used as an effective objective evaluation index of human thermal comfort.Through a large number of data measurement and strict screening, the contingency of the conclusion is greatly reduced. The selected thermal comfort evaluation index can provide a reference for the outdoor thermal comfort evaluation of the elderly in the future.
