The coaxial split-torque transmission system is an important part in the main reducer of the new generation of armed helicopters,and its meshing performance is directly related to the continuous combat capability of the helicopter and even the life safety of the driver.At present,most of the meshing performance analysis of gears only stays at the stage of considering the geometry and deformation of the gear teeth,while ignoring the influence of other factors in the gear system,which leads to a difference in the meshing performance between the gear parts and system.This paper takes the face gear coaxial split-torque transmission system as the research object,and proposes a design framework for the tooth surface modification and assembly coordination in face gear pairs considering the deformation of the gear system structure.The main research contents are stated as follows.(1)According to the machining process,the tooth surface modification principle of the face gear pair is expounded,and the tooth surfaces equation of the modified face gear pair is deduced.(2)The load equivalent assembly errors of the face gear pair are deduced,and a determination to tooth surface contacting is proposed according to the meshing motion between the face gear and pinion.Considered the load equivalent assembly errors of the gear pair,the tooth contact analysis method of face gear pairs in the face gear system is formed.(3)The structure and power flow of face gear coaxial split torque transmission system are analyzed,and the structure which is easy to produce load equivalent assembly errors in the system are determined.The influence of tooth surface modification parameters and assembly errors on the tooth surface contact area is analyzed,the knowledge base of modification and assembly parameters design of face gear pair is established,and the collaborative decision-making framework of modification and assembly of system level face gear pair is formed.(4)The experiment on modification and assembly coordination of the face gear pair in the coaxial split-torque system of the face gear is carried out,and the collaborative framework of modification and assembly proposed in this paper is verified.Aiming at the problems of low efficiency of contact analysis of gear pairs in the face gear coaxial split-torque transmission system and the difficulty of guaranteeing the meshing performance of the system,this paper proposes a system-level contact analysis method for face gear pairs considering the assembly errors of the load equivalent,and establishes a system-level contact analysis method.A collaborative decision-making framework for modification and assembly of face gear pairs is proposed.Finally,the theories and methods proposed in this paper are verified by experiments.The relevant research results can be directly applied to the modification and assembly design of the gear pair in the face gear coaxial split-torque transmission system.
