Because of the different physical properties,the gel has various forms,and it has a wide range of applications in many industries.Therefore,the measurement of physical properties of gels has become the key to research.Most of the currently known measurement methods are contact measurement methods,which are not only complicated to operate but also expensive to use.Aiming at this practical problem,this paper proposes a non-contact method for calculating the physical properties of gels.In order to accurately obtain the physical properties of the gel,this paper theoretically analyzes the calculation method of the physical properties of the gel,and develops a new non-contact gel physical properties analyzer,which has the advantages of high precision,miniaturization and portability.The gel physical property analyzer designed in this paper is composed of hardware platform and software system.The hardware platform is composed of a pressure drive module and a machine vision module.In order to restore the application scenario of the gel-type leakage plugging agent in actual engineering as much as possible,a pressure displacement pump is used to drive the gel in the capillary to move,so as to simulate the gel in the capillary.Flow state in rock pores.The machine vision module uses a high-definition camera and an optical microscope to observe the flow state of the gel in the capillary under pressure.The software system includes two modules: image acquisition and image processing,which are mainly responsible for the acquisition of gel moving images,and carry out targeted processing to obtain various experimental parameters,so as to obtain various physical parameters of the gel.The image processing module design is the core link of the analyzer development.This module firstly preprocesses the gel image;secondly,it uses the improved OTSU threshold segmentation algorithm and the Sobel edge detection operator to segment and extract the surface tension curve;Then,the least squares ellipse fitting method is used to fit the surface tension curve.Finally,a localization algorithm is proposed to determine the parameter Δl by the center of curvature,and the parameters related to the physical properties of the gel are accurately calculated.Through the physical property analysis experiment of four actual batches of gel in the oil field,the results show that the physical property analyzer designed in this paper can accurately calculate the viscosity.Compared with the traditional contact viscosity measuring instrument,the measuring system avoids the problems of contact with the sample to be tested and complicated operation,and the measurement accuracy is significantly improved.The average relative error of the viscosity measurement results of the analyzer system is only 1.58%,which meets the accuracy of practical engineering applications.
