With the progress of science and technology and the wide application of digital technology in various fields,China’s shipbuilding industry is facing the transformation and upgrading from traditional mode to intelligent manufacturing.Virtual simulation technology has become one of the important means to enhance the core competitiveness of the shipbuilding industry.As the pearl in the crown of the shipbuilding industry,the cruise industry is in the ascendency in China,but there are some problems such as low design efficiency,long development cycle and high development cost.The virtual simulation technology is applied to cruise in whole life cycle of design,construction,operation each link,by determining the reasonable application of the principle,set up scientific and reasonable the system framework,formulate relevant rules,and connecting with the concrete application system development,can effectively improve r&d efficiency,shorten the development cycle,reduce the development cost.First of all,on the basis of full research,the main process of the whole life cycle of the design,construction and operation of the cruise ship is deeply studied,the application status of the virtual simulation technology is analyzed,the demand points in the process are clarified and the application convergence point of the virtual simulation technology is determined,which provides the basis for subsequent research.Secondly,based on the analysis of functional requirements of different stages of cruise design,construction and operation,the principles of virtual simulation application platform are determined.Based on HLA architecture,a virtual simulation platform for the whole life cycle of cruise ship is proposed.The overall framework of cruise ship virtual simulation is built,including function modules,logical architecture,software architecture,hardware architecture,data conversion and interface protocol,etc.Finally,based on the real ship data,a virtual simulation platform for interior design of cruise restaurant is developed to verify the feasibility and rationality of the theoretical research results.Through the whole life cycle of cruise restaurant main part,based on the simulation system’s overall framework,specific requirements for built-in design phase,the universal modeling software and VR engine is used for the development of virtual simulation system,realized the virtual front will build,operation stage,to optimize design,validation,auxiliary decision goal.In this paper,the application of virtual simulation technology in the whole life cycle of cruise ship is systematically described,and a top-level model is proposed to guide the development of related applications.It has certain engineering value and reference significance for effectively improving the development efficiency,improving the standardization and scientificity of the development process,so as to better serve the cruise industry.
