The airport plays a very important role in the urban transportation system.The air passenger flow of the airport consists of the inbound passenger flow and the outbound passenger flow.After arriving at the airport,the inbound passenger flow will choose different transfer modes to reach its destination,which will cause great traffic pressure on the roads around the airport.In recent years,with the continuous acceleration of the overall economic development of Angola,an African country,the passenger throughput of Luanda airport has also increased rapidly.At this stage,the air passenger flow has caused great pressure on the roads around the airport.In addition,on the basis of the existing two terminals,Luanda airport is building T3 terminal,which will trigger more air passenger flow once completed.Therefore,in the case of insufficient data processing conditions,it is of great significance to investigate the impact of changes in aircraft passenger flow on road traffic near Luanda airport by means of simulation,so as to find and predict the bottleneck problems faced by road traffic on the land side of the airport in the future,so as to study and optimize the road traffic organization structure to improve the service quality of road traffic on the land side of the airport.The key research contents of this chapter include:(1)The background and related concepts of this research work are analyzed,and the analysis and summary of airport integrated transportation system,passenger transfer mode selection behavior and traffic impact simulation software around the hub are mainly completed as the basis of this research work;(2)In the form of questionnaire,on the basis of the two existing transfer modes at Luanda airport,by using the intention survey method and considering the two modes of Airport Express Line and airport bus planned in the future,the transfer personnel at Luanda airport were randomly investigated,and the data of the survey results were collated and analyzed;(3)Then,according to the results of the questionnaire set up,the transfer mode selection behavior was studied based on the MNL model and the NL model.Through the comparative analysis of the fitting results,it was found that the MNL result had a better effect than the NL model;(4)On the basis of forecasting the traffic volume of Luanda airport in the future years,VISSIM and Any Logic software are respectively used to simulate the traffic flow and pedestrian flow of Luanda airport in the current stage and 2030,and the simulation results are evaluated.Combined with the simulation analysis and evaluation results,suggestions and measures for optimizing the landside traffic of Luanda airport are proposed.
