In recent years, with the development of the social economy, the pursuit of spiritual culture has gradually exceeded people’s pursuit of material. The requirements for space have changed from satisfying basic functions to the pursuit of space experience.A single space design method has been unable to adapt to contemporary needs. This paper expounds and summarizes the research contents of film architecture and event space from different angles at home and abroad. The first two parts of the article are the sorting out of the literature and the sorting out of the concepts. The first chapter is the introduction, which is the research background and research basis. It summarizes the domestic and foreign research on film architecture and event space, and proposes the corresponding research methods and frameworks. The second chapter finds out the relationship between the film architecture and event space through an overview, and explains that this paper selects film narrative structure and film montage technique to study the design technique of event space. The third and fourth chapters are the analysis part. The third chapter starts from the film’s narrative structure, extracts four typical non-linear narrative structures in representative films, transforms them into the basic structural models of event space, and discusses the characteristics and possibilities of various event spaces. The fourth chapter analyzes how to use film montage to create events based on the existing space examples. The fifth chapter of the article is the application part.Combining the event space structure model and film technique,it is applied to the specific scheme design. The last part of the article summarizes the analysis of the full text, and makes reflections and prospects for future research directions.
