Research On Subway Public Art Based On Local Culture Taking Shanghai Subway Wall Decoration As A Case

Under the social background of the expansion of modern cities and the concentration of population,urban ground transportation is increasingly congested.The subway has become an important means of transportation for the modern urban population to travel and commute.In subway construction,the public art decoration of subway station space is an important part,which has the functions of showing urban style,inheriting regional culture,enhancing urban aesthetic value,and enhancing urban vitality.Due to the limitations of economic conditions and technical capabilities,the construction of public art in my country’s subways presents problems such as a small number,a single form of expression,insufficient space utilization,and lack of public participation.Specifically,the subway stations in the earlier construction period are mainly practical and functional,and they lack attention to the public art in the space,which leads to the phenomenon of similarities and stereotypes in each city and each station,which in turn makes public space and local cultural inheritance mutual.Disengagement creates a disconnect between economic development and the public art that the public can enjoy.This paper takes Shanghai subway wall decoration as a research case to study subway public art based on local culture.The first chapter discusses the research purpose,research significance,research content and research innovation points,and studies and analyzes the domestic and foreign research development trends and classic cases;,Public art in subway public space,subway wall decorations and subway wall decorations with local culture as the design background,analyzes the application value,application significance and related classic cases of subway public art;Chapter 3 investigates the development of local culture in Shanghai The background and public art of subway hub sites and culturally characteristic sites are analyzed,and the corresponding relationship between works in the station and local culture is analyzed.Taking "Shanghai-style culture" as the starting point,by analyzing the characteristics of Shanghai-style culture,as well as the spirit and cultural characteristics represented by Shanghai-style culture,combined with the specific situation of Shanghai subway public space wall decoration design,and then clarify the relationship between Shanghai subway wall decoration art and Shanghai subway wall decoration.The specific ways of combining Shanghai-style culture,including Shanghai-style folk culture,Shanghai-style political history,Shanghai-style humanistic culture,and Shanghai-style modern culture,selected representative sites as cases for in-depth analysis,and pointed out the existence of Shanghai subway wall decoration art dissemination.The fourth chapter selects typical sites to carry out a series of art design practices.On the basis of proposing the design process,the goal is to fully demonstrate the connection between art works and local culture,and then verify the understanding of the regionality and cultural value of subway public art to the city.Influence of sustainable development and public space construction,in-depth discussion of the internal connection between local culture and subway public art design,research on the outstanding problems in the current subway public art and put forward solutions,to provide a useful reference for the sustainable development of local culture.
