WBS-based Engineering Project Management Standardization Method And Application Research

In the face of multi-project management,enterprises in engineering industry have the need of management standardization.The existing engineering project management theory research is mainly carried out from the project-level dimension.For multi-project management,the theory of project set and project portfolio management is put forward,which also belongs to the project-level dimension in essence.The existing methods of enterprise standardization are mainly applicable to the product manufacturing management needs of industrial enterprises.Due to the difference between project construction management and product production management,the process of enterprise standardization in the engineering industry is affected.Therefore,it is necessary to develop a standardized method for engineering project management.Based on the above situation,combining the theoretical knowledge of project management,this paper proposes a standardized method of engineering project management based on Work Breakdown Structure(WBS),which constructs the management standard system of the enterprise from the perspective of core business tasks rather than from the perspective of functional division of labor.The research of this paper is mainly divided into the following contents:(1)Combining the cross-disciplinary analysis results with the comparative analysis results of existing enterprise standardization methods,a WBS-based engineering project management standardization method suitable for engineering enterprises is proposed.The principle,structure,application method,advantages and disadvantages of WBS standardization method are described in detail.WBS can realize the standardization of work deliverables.By standardizing the input and process of workflow,the whole process can be standardized.It also constructs the structure of WBS standardization mode playing a role in the enterprise,and divides the organizational function of the enterprise into core business flow module,background support module and problem-standard analysis module,so as to make the standard play a role in the whole system of the enterprise.(2)Through the case analysis,a company is taken as an example to illustrate how to apply the WBS-based engineering project management standardization method in practice and verify its effectiveness.The advantages and disadvantages of this method and the current method were discussed through interviews with internal employees of Company A,so as to verify the effectiveness of this method.(3)Summarize the research problems and put forward the research prospects.Combined with the problems found in the interview of WBS standardization method,suggestions on the implementation and continuous improvement of WBS standardization method are put forward,and the next research direction is pointed out.
