As the rapid development of civil aviation,the number of flights is also increasing,and the airspace resources are limited,so it often leads to airspace congestion,which in turn leads to large flight delays.The extensive and deep impact of large flight delays has seriously affected the rapid development of China’s air transportation and has had many adverse effects such as reducing the flight normalization rate.Therefore,large flight delays are one of the urgent problems to be solved.In this paper,based on the theory of air traffic network flow and on the basis of studying the operational characteristics of air traffic network flow,we start the research from the aspects of assessment,macro control strategy and micro control strategy of large area flight delays.First,the concept of air traffic network flow system is introduced,and the attributes of air traffic network flow system are expanded,and the research developed in this paper is based on the theory of air traffic network flow system.By analyzing the flow,density and speed elements in the air traffic flow,the cusp mutation model of air traffic flow is established,based on which the critical state of the flight flow from normal operation to congestion when a large flight delay occurs is analyzed.The macroscopic operating characteristics and microscopic operating characteristics of traffic flow,density and speed in the studied air traffic network flow system when large flight delays occur are obtained.Secondly,based on the process analysis method,the formation process of large-area flight delays is divided into four stages: single delay source generation;delay accumulation;nodes and routes affected by delays;and formation of large-area flight delays,and the causes of largearea flight delays are analyzed from four perspectives: human,aircraft,environment,and control,and the main indexes for assessing the delay degree of large-area flight delays are selected from nodes,routes,and the correlation between nodes and routes.The three aspects of correlation between nodes,routes,and nodes and routes are considered to establish the index system,and then a gray clustering assessment model is established,and then the delay degree of large area flight delays is assessed.Then,based on the multi-commodity flow theory,the macro control strategy model of large area flight delays is established with the objective of minimizing the total delay time of flights in the air traffic network flow system and the capacity limitation of nodes and routes as the main constraints.Using airtop flight operation simulation software,five airports of the Greater Bay Area Airport Cluster are used as the operation simulation environment to verify the effectiveness of the model.Finally,according to the existing macro control strategy model of large area flight delays,based on the cooperative game theory and cooperative decision principle,an airport approach and departure flight optimization strategy model is established,and the adaptive grid multiobjective particle swarm algorithm is selected to solve the model.The incoming flight data of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport is selected for the analysis of calculation cases to verify the effectiveness of the model.By giving the macro-control strategy of large-area flight delay and the micro control strategy of single node,this paper provides a theoretical basis for the actual operation management department to solve the problem of large-area flight delay,and provides a reference for the airport to solve the problem of large-area flight delay.
