In order to achieve the goals of "carbon peak" and "carbon neutrality",China urgently needs to change the main energy at this stage,and change the traditional energy resource use path by increasing the proportion of renewable energy.Therefore,the development of a high proportion of renewable energy power generation and the increase of the proportion of clean electricity on the electricity consumption side,so as to promote the coupling and coordination of electric energy substitution on both sides of power supply and demand are important means to achieve carbon emission reduction,and also an important focus to achieve the "dual carbon" goal.Based on the relevant data of 30 provinces in China from 2005 to 2020,this paper studies the impact of the coupling and coordinated development level of power supply side and electricity consumption side of power substitution on the carbon emission efficiency of China,the inter-provincial carbon emission efficiency and the coupling coordination level of electric energy substitution on the supply and demand sides of electricity supply and demand in China.In this paper,the coupling evaluation model is applied to measure and analyze the coupling coordination level of power substitution on the power supply side and the electricity consumption side in China.Secondly,the SBM model was used to measure the interprovincial carbon emission efficiency in China,and the kernel density estimation method was introduced to investigate the dynamic evolution characteristics of interprovincial carbon emission efficiency.The fixed-effect model is further applied to discuss the impact of the coupling coordination level of electric energy substitution on both sides on carbon emission efficiency.Based on the relevant discussions,the main findings of this paper include: first,the development level of electric energy substitution in China shows obvious regional differences,the level of electric energy substitution on the power generation side is higher in the western region than in the eastern and central regions,and after considering the inter-provincial power exchange,the gap between the power supply side of the eastern region and the western region of the power supply side of the power substitution development level narrows;The level of electric energy substitution on the electricity side is higher in the eastern region than in the central and western regions.The coordination level of electric energy substitution coupling on both sides also showed the spatial characteristics of high in the western region and low in the central and eastern regions,and increased to varying degrees during the study period.Second,the development curve of China’s carbon emission efficiency shows a U-shaped characteristic,which is manifested in the fact that the carbon emission efficiency level first decreases and then rises,and the efficiency level varies greatly between regions,and the eastern region is higher than that in the central and western regions.From the perspective of the dynamic evolution of carbon emission efficiency,the gap between provinces in carbon emission efficiency has been reduced.Third,through empirical analysis,on the whole,the coupling coordination level of power substitution on the power supply side and the electricity consumption side in China has a significant positive impact on carbon emission efficiency,and the heterogeneity results show that the improvement of the coupling coordination degree of electric energy substitution on both sides can effectively improve the carbon emission efficiency in the eastern region,but the effect on the central and western regions is not significant.Based on the above findings,this paper can provide reference and reference for deepening electric energy substitution and achieving low-carbon development from a new perspective. |
