| Seed cakes,as the main source of animal feed and crop fertilizers,have a significant impact on agriculture and animal husbandry.China is one of the main exporting countries for seed cakes,with a large transportation volume and the main transportation method being sea freight.Due to the self-heating and self-ignition properties of seed cakes,they are classified as dangerous goods and ordinary goods according to relevant international and domestic regulations based on oil and water content or N.4 test.However,the experimental conditions for the N.4 test come from activated carbon,and whether it is suitable for determining the danger of seed cakes has become an urgent problem to be solved.This article is based on the theory of Semyonov and F-K spontaneous combustion,and determines the theoretical basis model and the source of experimental conditions for the N.4test.It deeply analyzes the differences in physical and chemical properties,self-heating reasons,and influencing factors between activated carbon and seed cake.We focused on studying the impact of activation energy,the core factor in the self-ignition model,on the N.4test.The critical self-ignition temperatures of four main types of seed cakes were obtained using experimental methods,and their respective activation energies were calculated;And use the formula to calculate the size of the container containing the sample in the oven during the N.4 test.In order to verify the applicability of the N.4 test for determining the danger of seed cakes,based on theoretical research and derivation,20 seed cake samples from 4 categories were selected and subjected to the N.4 test under existing standards.Then,the test was conducted again under the newly determined test conditions.The test results showed that no dangerous self-heating occurred in the seed cakes under the original test conditions,and 45%of the samples showed a temperature rise exceeding 10 ℃ under the newly set conditions,Meeting the MHB judgment criteria;15% of the samples showed a temperature rise exceeding 60 ℃,meeting the criteria for determining Class 4.2 flammable substances.Explained the applicability of the newly determined test conditions.The research in this paper not only facilitates the export of seed cakes for foreign trade,but also ensures their maritime safety. |
