The issue of carbon emission security is one of the ecological security issues that need to be addressed urgently in China at present.Land use change is an important reason for the increase of carbon emissions, and reasonable land use practices can help achieve the goal of carbon reduction. However, the extent of the impact of land use change on carbon emission is still unclear, and there is a lack of analysis of the impact of land use change on carbon emission from a spatial perspective within cities, and it is not possible to reveal the extent of the impact of land use change on carbon emission by establishing a quantitative model, which is not conducive to the formulation of reasonable carbon reduction policies in the future development of cities in terms of land use and cannot provide more This paper takes Wuhan as an example. Then, based on the analysis of land use changes and carbon emissions,we investigate the spatial and temporal impacts of land use changes on carbon emissions, and quantify the extent of impacts.Based on the predicted socio-economic development, the carbon emissions from land use in Wuhan are predicted to reach the"carbon peak".The study concludes that:(1)from 1995 to 2019,the land use changes are large, the area of construction land is increasing, and the carbon emissions show a rising trend in general, among which the carbon emissions from construction land are the largest;(2)from 1995 to 2019,the area of carbon emission increase per unit area and the change of construction land show a positive correlation in space, and the growth of construction land will The growth of construction land will cause the increase of carbon emission, and for every 1km2expansion of construction land, the total carbon emission is about 1.001 times of that before the expansion;(3)Using the PLUS model, the construction land area of Wuhan City during the"carbon peak"period is1229.48km~2,and the predicted carbon emission coefficient of construction land is 3.37×104t/km~2.The carbon emission generated by land use during the"carbon peak"period is 41.5026 million tons. The study concludes that the carbon emissions per unit area of Wuhan City and the changes in construction land show a positive spatial correlation, and the relationship between the two can be fitted using a composite model. Moreover, when Wuhan City reaches the"carbon peak",the carbon emissions generated by land use have not yet reached the peak.In the future, existing land use policies can be improved, such as dividing out different urban functional areas; At the same time, based on the obtained"carbon peak"land use carbon emissions planning and urban development strategies in the later stage, the goal of"carbon neutrality"can be achieved as soon as possible.
