| With the rapid development of the metallurgical and refractory industries,large amounts of magnesite tailings have been abandoned,resulting in a huge waste of resources and space,as well as affecting the ecological environment.High strength ceramic proppants rely primarily on increasingly scarce elevated grade bauxite resources.The extreme density of the proppant also affects oil-fracking operations.Therefore,In this paper,magnesite tailings were first used as raw materials to synthesize magnesite forsterite,and then the synthetic forsterite was used as raw material of ceramide proppant to explore the effects of clay addition amount,binder type and firing temperature on the properties of forsterite ceramide proppant,and different types of mullite sol and impregnation time were used to modify the surface of the proppant to optimize its acid resistance.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Forsterite phase can be formed with magnesite tailings and silica as raw materials.When the amount of silica is 17 wt%,the content of forsterite phase reaches the maximum,and the synthetic forsterite has dense structure,uniform distribution of pores,the best mechanical properties and acid solubility at room temperature,the bending strength at room temperature is 84.3 MPa,and the compressive strength at room temperature is 117.6 MPa.Compared with natural forsterite clinker,the synthetic forsterite contains lower impurities such as Fe2O3,Ca O,Na2 O and K2 O,and the refractoriness is as elevated as 1680 ℃.(2)Forsterite ceramic proppant prepared by 80 wt% synthesis of forsterite,15 wt%Guangxi clay,5 wt% sodium metaphosphate and 2 wt% anhydrous magnesium chloride at 1280 ℃ × 3 h has better performance;the bulk density of the ceramic proppant was 1.43 g/cm3,the crushing rate was 6.1 %,and the acid solubility was10.68 %.Compared to natural forsterite as a raw material,it has a more homogeneous structure,lower impurity phase,inferior glassy phase content,and better acid resistance.(3)Mullite sol was used to treat the surface of forsterite ceramic proppant.The acid solubility can be reduced to 8.27 % when mullite sol is used and the vacuum impregnation time is 30 min. |
