Abstract/Summary:
Organic pollutant wastewater has disadvantages such as long duration and difficulty in complete degradation, causing incalculable harm to nature and sustainable development of human society.Semiconductor photocatalysis technology is a method to degrade pollutants by using sunlight, which is considered as an ideal method to treat organic pollutant wastewater because of its low cost and high efficiency and cleanliness.Graphitic phase carbon nitride has attracted much attention in the field of photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants due to its low cost, good stability and suitable band gap. However,as an organic polymer semiconductor, its inherent drawbacks of small specific surface area and extremely easy compounding of photogenerated carriers make its photocatalytic effect unsatisfactory. In this paper, the photocatalytic degradation performance of methylene blue is improved by morphological modulation, defect structure introduction, boron nitride quantum dot modification, and heterojunction construction with bismuth ferrate. This study proposes two methods to construct a dual-channel mechanism of photogenerated electron-hole transfer, which provides a green and efficient method for the removal of persistent organic pollutants in water bodies.
