Liquefied natural gas(LNG)is a revolutionary energy source,and its benefits are obvious.The capability of the railroad for transporting liquefied natural gas will increase with the expansion of the liquefied natural gas railway.All of the advantages and possibilities of liquefied natural gas tank containers can be utilized while promoting community economic development.This topic takes liquefied natural gas tank container as an example to supplement the safety of railway transportation.Primarily,analyze and supplement the safety technical requirements for railway transportation of liquefied natural gas tank containers,a parameter monitoring system is mounted on the unique liquefied natural gas tank container for rail transportation to continuously track the tank’s temperature,pressure,and liquid level,and a centralized collection of tank containers is made via the wireless communication network,which is then utilized to assess and alert about the operation status of the tank containers;Then,examining the heat transfer between the tank body and the surrounding area helps to improve the standard temperature model.Considering the filling rate and the insulation layer’s effectiveness as limitations,there is a model for how the internal temperature of the tank body affects performance.The modeling was carried out using the ANSYS application.The momentary heat transfer through the outside wall,the thermal insulation layer and inner tank wall were analyzed.Regarding the temperature distribution under varied ambient temperature conditions,examination of the effects of thermal insulating layers with varying compositions and thicknesses.On the basis of numerical simulations of the temperature field of the tank,combined with the temperature stratification in the tank,it is explored how the tank’s pressure and temperature are impacted by the filling rate and ambient temperature,and the new regulation is understood in order to release pressure during transportation effectively;Finally,according to the safety technical conditions for railway transportation of liquefied natural gas tank containers,a safety assessment model and index system for liquefied natural gas tank container train handling stations(special lines)were established,and train handling stations(special lines)built by Xinjiang Alashankou Horizon Oil and Gas Co Ltd to determine whether it has the capability to operate liquefied natural gas tank containers.
