The catalytic oxidation of p-cresol is of great significance in industry.Its main oxidation products,such as p-hydroxybenzaldehyde,p-hydroxybenzoic acid,p-hydroxybenzyl alcohol,are widely used in industry.Among them,p-hydroxybenzaldehyde is an important chemical intermediate for the preparation of pharmaceuticals,pesticides,spices,petrochemical and electroplating chemicals.For example,4-hydroxy-3-methoxybenzaldehyde(vanillin),which is synthesized from p-hydroxybenzaldehyde,is a very widely used seasoning;3,5-dimethyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde can be used to synthesize potential antioxidant and anticancer chemopreventive agents.In this paper,using oxygen as oxidant and CoSPc/4A molecular sieve and NHydroxyphthalimide(NHPI)as co-catalytic system,the catalytic oxidation of p-cresol and pmethoxyltoluene was achieved under mild conditions.Firstly,this paper summarizes the research background of the subject,the application of n-hydroxyphthalimide,the application of metal phthalocyanine in catalytic oxidation,the research progress of the catalytic oxidation,and the significance of this topic and the main research content.Secondly,the CoSPc/4A molecular sieve was synthesized and its structure was determined by FT-IR,the phthalocyanine absorption peak was determined by UV-VIS,the loading condition was investigated by SEM,and the structure of the loaded molecular sieve was verified by XRD.Thirdly,CoSPc/4A molecular sieve and NHPI were used to catalyze the oxidation of pcresol and the optimal reaction conditions were obtained by single factor experiment.Then the mechanism of cresol reaction was explored and the possible path of catalytic oxidation of cresol was proposed.Fourthly,the above CoSPc/4A molecular sieve/NHPI co-catalytic system was applied to the catalytic oxidation of p-methoxyltoluene,and the simple single factor conditions were explored.
