In recent years,the application of functional textiles has received more and more attention from researchers and consumers.Fabric finishing agents are widely used in the field of multi-functional finishing of fabrics due to their excellent properties such as hydrophobicity and oleophobicity and stain resistance.Fluorine coatings are the most used amphiphobic finishing agents,in which low-energy substance with long fluorocarbon chains(carbon number Nc≥ 8)are the common components.However,long fluorocarbon chains are difficult to be degraded and are prone to bioaggregation,which makes their waste treatment complex.In order to overcome the disadvantages of long fluorocarbon chains substances,this work attempts to develop amphiphobic finishing agent using fluorocarbons with short chains,which are non-accumulate and easily removed.Further,we study their amphiphobic applications in fabrics.The organic amphiphobic agents,C4 fluoride-ethylenediamine composites,were prepared using ethylenediamine and perfluorobutylsulfonyl fluoride(C4,Nc= 4)as curing accelerator and low energy substance,respectively.The organic amphiphobic coating was developed using ethanol,C4 fluoride-ethylenediamine composite,cetyltrimethoxysilane and nano-silica.Hydrophobic and oleophobic fabric was prepared with as-prepared organic coating.The surface contact angle of water droplets was 148.36° and the contact angle of oil droplets was 139.14°.The oil repellency class 5 was achieved.The organic amphiphobic coating was applied to the surface finishing of other fabric materials,and tests were carried out on the abrasion,stain and chemical solution resistance of the materials.The waterborne amphiphobic agents,C4 fluoride-ammonia composites,were prepared using ammonia and perfluorobutylsulphonyl fluoride as curing accelerator and low energy substance,respectively.The waterborne amphiphobic coating was developed using water,C4 fluoride-ammonia composite,zinc oxide nanoparticles and binder.Hydrophobic and oleophobic fabric was prepared with as-prepared waterborne coating.The surface contact angle of water droplets was 155.62° and the contact angle of oil droplets was 143.51°.The oil repellency class 6 was achieved.The waterborne amphiphobic coating was applied to the surface treatment of other fabric materials and the performance tests of the material such as abrasion resistance,antifouling and resistance to chemical solutions were investigated. |
