Energy transfer from a metal nanoparticle to molecules adsorbed onto its surface was referred as plasmon resonance energy transfer(PRET).PRET caused a decrease in the spectrum of a metal nanoparticle.Since the discovery in 2007,the studies on PRET focus on exploiting PRET donor-acceptor pairs,and the studies on PRET mechanism are in infant.Herein,we investigated the effect of spectral overlap between donor and acceptor on PRET.The specific research content are as follows:1.Our synthesized Au/Ag/Au nanoparticles(Au/Ag/Au NPs)in a diameter of 46 nm and the commercial Au NPs in a diameter of 50 nm were used as donors,and quantum dots 800(QDs 800)was as acceptor.A sandwich-structured immunocomplex bridged the donor and the acceptor.In situ spectroscopic imaging confirmed the PRET between the two donor and acceptor pairs.By comparing the PRET difference in the two donoracceptor pairs,we found PRET efficiency and the relative ratio of the nanoparticles experiencing PRET of the Au/Ag/Au NPs-QDs 800 were bigger than those of Au NPsQDs 800,indicating that the particles experienced PRET and PRET efficiency increased by the spectral overlap between donor-acceptor.2.Using Au/Ag/Au NPs-QDs 800 as the PRET probe pair,a homogeneous immunoassay method was established.After optimizing the conditions,the highly sensitive detection of CEA and PSA in the solution was realized.This method offers the advantages of ease of operate,high sensitivity,and broad application prospects.
