As a pillar industry in China’s industrial sector,the iron and steel industry plays a vital role in the development of national economic construction.At present,China’s iron-rich ore reserves are small and the demand for iron ore is increasing,so it is urgent to improve the quantity and quality of sintered ore.It is found that the thick layer sintering technology can increase the output and improve the quality of sintered ore,but this technology is difficult to be widely used due to factors such as permeability of the material layer,temperature at the bottom of the material layer and carbon emission overload.In this study,we will focus on the sintered stockpile permeability and temperature field,optimize the stockpile permeability and temperature field by using the stockpile bias treatment,simulate the sintering process of iron ore stockpile by using Fluent software,analyze the influence of each parameter on the stockpile permeability and temperature field,and verify them by experiments.The sintering layer air permeability and temperature field laws studied can provide theoretical reference for production practice and lay the theoretical foundation for the development of thick layer sintering technology.Firstly,a simulation model is established based on the 430m~2 belt sintering machine bogie,and the porous medium model,turbulence model,coke combustion model,calcium carbonate decomposition model,moisture migration model and iron oxide reduction model are established for the calculation process,and Fluent is used to study the uniform layer permeability and temperature field.Secondly,by changing the particle size composition of the layers,the porous media parameters and fuel ratios of different layers were calculated,and the sintering process of different layers was simulated by Fluent,so that the change of permeability and temperature fields of the layers after the bias treatment and the homogeneous layers were obtained.Finally,experiments were set up to verify the change in permeability of the layers by using three different particle sizes of solid particles and setting them into two groups:uniform single particle fabric and particle mixed bias fabric.The uniform single particle fabric is used to verify the variation of viscous drag coefficient,inertial drag coefficient and layer air permeability by changing the particle size of solid particles,while the particle mixture partization fabric is used to verify the variation of layer air permeability by changing the particle size composition of the layer.
