The development of the relationship between man and nature has always accompanied the production practice of human society. With the development of modern economy and society, ecological and environmental issues have increasingly become social issues that affect people’s production and life.In the new era,how to promote the governance of ecosystem, how to realize the synergistic development of economic society and environmental protection, and how to promote the global ecological governance have become important issues in the construction of life community. In a general sense,"nature" is a general term for nature, but according to Marx and Engels,"nature" includes self-nature,man’s own nature and humanized nature. The term "community" generally refers to a social aggregate.Marx and Engels understood this concept from the development of the natural community, the illusory community,to the real community.Xi Jinping explains the concept of "community of life" at three levels:within nature, between man and nature, and between nature and society.Marx and Engels revealed the breakdown of the relationship between man and nature and the intensification of class contradictions caused by the capitalist mode of production, and showed that the development of science and technology has increased people’s ability to transform nature while at the same time increasing their ability to destroy it.Marx and Engels critically inherited the ancient Greek philosophy of nature,Hegel’s dialectical view of nature, and Feuerbach’s old materialist view of nature, and constructed the Marxist-Engelsian view of nature, which specifically contains the ecological view of nature, the humanized view of nature, and the historical direction of the common development of man and nature.Xi Jinping proposed the concept of community of life on the basis of the Marxist-Engelsian view of nature. The concept of community of life has undergone an evolutionary process from initial exploration, gradual formation to development and perfection. In the context of the new orientation of history, the new situation of domestic ecological environmental protection, and the new direction of global ecological governance, the concept of community of life has been formed, including "mountain, water, forest, field, lake, grass and ice are a community of life","man and nature are a community of life" and "the earth is a community of life".The concept of "community of life","community of life between man and nature" and "community of life on earth" have been developed. The Marxist-Engels concept of nature has a strong guiding significance for the construction of a community of life. The construction of a community of life should adhere to the principles of ecological materialism, the requirements of ecological dialectics and the demands of ecological development, and realize the harmonious coexistence of man and nature through ideological leadership, green development, institutional protection and global governance. The concept of life community,as a highly contemporary and original achievement,is a realistic construction that transcends the dichotomy at the theoretical level, and at the same time gives Xi Jinping Thought on Ecological Civilization a new theoretical discourse and expands the contemporary connotation of Marx’s Engels’ concept of nature. At the practical level,it effectively promotes the systematic management of ecological environment and provides realistic guidance for the construction of ecological civilization, thus better meeting the people’s beautiful ecological needs. In addition, the global perspective of the concept of community of life has broadened the space for ecological cooperation among countries around the world and contributed Chinese wisdom to ecological environmental protection and governance in the world.
