With the deepening of economic globalization,all domestic enterprises inevitably face more and more challenges in the competition with domestic and international counterparts.Stable product quality and service will undoubtedly win the advantages for enterprises in the competition.Therefore,many enterprises try to carry out various quality activities,but the actual effect is uneven.How to remain invincible in the fierce competition environment and build the core competitiveness of enterprises has been a subject of research by many enterprises and scholars.Quality management system improvement is a widely recognized way for enterprises to improve the quality level in the current period.At present,there have been many studies on the improvement of quality management system at domestic and abroad,but there are not many researches about guiding macroscopically the internal audit of quality management system from the perspective of maturity of quality management system,so as to achieve quality management system improvement.The gradual maturity and perfection of the quality management system needs to be realized by running of internal audit,and the effective implementation of internal audit needs the guidance of the macroscopic improvement direction of the quality management system,and the two complement each other.Although Y Company is in the forefront of the industry and has got certification of ISO9001 and IATF16949 quality management system,there are still some problems in the process of the quality management system operation,so the internal audit optimization of Y Company is taken as the research object.Firstly,the literature related to quality management maturity,quality management system improvement and internal audit of quality management system was sorted out,and the achievement of domestic and foreign researches related to internal audit were summarized.Then planned and performed twice internal audits with process methods.Meanwhile,using literature research method,case analysis method etc.to analyze the internal audit results of Y Company’s quality management system during year 2017-2022.It was found that Y company’s internal audit had no clear target guidance,internal audit planning did not focus on the critical elements,the depth of the findings was not enough,the same problems were found repeatedly in the internal audit,and some department heads did not pay attention to the internal audit.Combined with the problems and cause analysis in the previous relevant literature research,several fundamental reasons affecting the internal audit are sorted out,and four fundamental reasons of Y Company are summarized: there was no clear direction for the improvement of the company’s quality management system,most internal auditors were not strong in professional competence,internal audit planning was not enough in combination with the actual situation,and the company’s training planning was not enough.Aiming at the root cause of the internal audit problems of Y company’s quality management system,the internal audit optimization scheme is designed for Y Company from four aspects: clarifying the direction and objectives of Y company’s internal audit,strengthening the construction of Y company’s internal auditors team,fully planning the internal audit based on the actual situation of Y company and improving the training planning of Y company.Finally,the safeguard measures and corresponding evaluation methods are proposed from three aspects,culture,resources and system.This study takes the objective problems existing in the internal audit of the quality management system of Y company as a case study.According to the five stages of the maturity of the quality management system,optimize the internal audit of the quality management system of Y Company,and guide the direction of the internal audit optimization of Y company’s quality management system,so as to form the internal advantages of the company and effectively promote the long-term development of the company’s business operation system.At the same time,explore the development path of quality management system for manufacturing enterprises to become first-class companies,and provide reference for other similar enterprises to guide internal audit through the maturity division of quality management system,so as to improve the effectiveness of quality management system.
