Infant Formula Milk Powder Production Quality Control Study

Food is the basic of the people,security is the basic of the food.With the rapid development of the economy and the opening of the second-child policy,there is an increasing trend of birth rate.More challenges occur in the milk powder industry,as it’s the only food for infants,the quality and safety of infant milk powder has attracted more and more attention.The 2022 year version of Detailed Rules for Infant & Growing up Formula Milk Powder Production Approval and Examination and Good manufacturing practice for milk products is about to release,it is of great significance to analyze the current status of quality and safety of infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder,the importance of quality control,tackle difficulties and critical control methods in the current production,and forecast trend of the development of quality and safety of infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder.Through interviewing method and comparison methos,this paper summarized 5 core problems in the current quality control process of infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder production,including problems found in infant,follow-on and growing-up formula registration,imperfect raw materials procurement and product storage,no systematic method applied in production process verification,unsystematic workshop environment monitoring and traceability issue of product.In this paper,we analyze the causes of the problems,also proposed a specific program to ensure quality improvement.This paper outputs a systematic method regarding solutions of five critical problems that detected in quality management of infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder production,including optimize the core points and processes of product formula design,critical management aspects of raw material procurement and storage,track and trace system optimization of the whole production chain,summary of the systematic method of supplier selection and evaluation,development of a systematic verification methods for infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder production process and output a set of management plan for environment monitor of infant,follow-on and growing-up formula.The verification was completed in company AU,after the implementation and application of the above five methods,several core quality indicators of company AU have been significantly improved.The first acceptance rate of products has increased from 97.39% to99.91%,the complaint rate(complaint times/tons of product)of products has decreased from0.23 to 0.1,and customer satisfaction has increased from 9.39 to 9.97 points.Through the implementation of these five core programs,the quality control process of company AU is standardized,the quality control cost of company AU is reduced,and the brand image of company AU is also improved.These methods could also be referred by other infant,follow-on and growing-up formula milk powder enterprises.
