"Jv" refers to using the iron to bind items,"jv porcelain" is a kind of porcelain restoration technology that refers to the means of repairing and strengthening ceramic objects with metal parts.Similar to jv porcelain,the restoration method of drilling holes around broken parts of the item and then applying conjunctions to fix it,has been used since the Neolithic period.However,due to the lack of relevant information in history,there is still a large gap in the research of this process today.Jv porcelain is a part of Chinese ceramic culture,and it is also a restoration method that has been used for thousands of years in history,whether it is the study of ancient jv ware or the study of jv porcelain craft system is still thin nowadays.The study of ancient jv ware,starting from the research results of relevant records and related cultural relics specimens,records the age,land,form,and other information of jv porcelain cultural relics,and analyzes their materials,shapes,processes,and other aspects.Through long-term follow-up investigation of the existing jv porcelain craftsmen in Sichuan,to learn the specific processes,materials,tools,and retention status of jv porcelain technology in Sichuan,and the process development system is analyzed and studied based on the objects of ancient jv ware and the history of jv porcelain technology.Most of the materials used in the paper are based on the research results of historical objects and the results of the author’s independent investigation,based on the relevant craftsmanship in Sichuan,combined with historical and humanistic factors such as the aesthetics of the times,social productivity and the development of relevant science and technology in ancient times,etc.,to improve the gaps in the existing literature on the recording of jv porcelain technology.Through visiting jv craftsmen and the relevant information mentioned in archaeological excavation reports and cultural relics research materials in various regions in history,we can understand the overall development of jv porcelain craftsmanship.It includes a brief description of the cultural history of ancient jv porcelain,the investigation of ancient jv porcelain in Sichuan,and the process of jv porcelain in Sichuan,and explains and elaborates on the above topics respectively.Given the characteristics of existing Sichuan jv porcelain craft,the current situation is analyzed,including inheritance issues,process changes,etc.,the problems of keeping the foundation and innovation are discussed,and the inheritance and development of traditional craftsmanship in contemporary times are deeply considered.
