When the filling enters the flotation system with the mined ore,it will affect the flotation recovery of the mineral.In order to find out the influence mechanism of filling on chalcopyrite flotation recovery,this paper uses flotation test and multiple mechanism detection methods to study the effect of dissolution ions of filling material on chalcopyrite flotation,discusses the influence of aggregation of filling material and chalcopyrite particles on chalcopyrite flotation,investigates the chemical and physical methods of chalcopyrite flotation to eliminate the deterioration of filling,and clarifies the influence of filling material on copper sulfide flotation in the iron dressing tailings of a low-grade copper sulfide ore in Anhui Province.The specific results of this study are as follows:(1)The mixing of fillings will change the pH value of pulp and worsen the flotation of chalcopyrite.Single mineral experiment shows that:when the mixing rate reached 6%,the recovery rate of chalcopyrite decreased from 96.41%to 89.46%.The recovery rate of chalcopyrite decreased from 89.46%to 86.63%when the filling mixing rate increased to 12%,and the downward trend was weakened.The recovery rate of chalcopyrite is almost constant when the filling rate is higher than 12%.When pH=7,the fillings with-74um~+45um had the strongest deterioration effect on chalcopyrite flotation.The dosage of butyl xanthate and MIBC have little effect on the recovery of chalcopyrite in the flotation system with fillings.(2)The filling will dissolve a large number of calcium and iron ions in aqueous solution;Calcium exists mainly in the form of calcium ion,followed by calcium hydroxyl complex,iron exists mainly in the form of iron hydroxide precipitates or colloids.Calcium ion has little effect on the flotation recovery rate of chalcopyrite,while iron ion has a great effect on the flotation recovery rate of chalcopyrite.The reason is that iron ion forms hydrophilic iron hydroxide precipitation or colloidal adsorption on the surface of chalcopyrite in the solution,resulting in the contact Angle of the surface of chalcopyrite becomes smaller,the hydrophilicity is enhanced,and the floatability is decreased,thus reducing the recovery rate of chalcopyrite.In addition,the higher the concentration of iron ion in solution,the lower the recovery rate of chalcopyrite.When both calcium and iron ions exist in the solution,calcium ions will occupy part of the adsorption site of iron ions on the surface of chalcopyrite,thus reducing the influence of iron ions on chalcopyrite flotation.The results of potential test showed that when the pH was less than 9,the anions such as silicate and hydrogen silicate dissolved from the filling were adsorbed on the surface of chalcopyrite,resulting in the decrease of its dynamic potential;when the pH was more than 9,the cations such as calcium and iron dissolved from the filling generated positively charged Fe(OH)n(3-n)+and Ca(OH)n(2-n)+in the alkaline environment,resulting in the increase of the dynamic potential on the surface of chalcopyrite.The fillings will aggregate with chalcopyrite particles and hinder the adsorption of butyl xanthate on the surface of chalcopyrite,resulting in the reduction of chalcopyrite recovery.(3)When the concentration of ammonium sulfate is 3×10-4mol/L,the recovery rate of chalcopyrite increases by 2~3.5%,and ammonium sulfate can eliminate the deterioration effect of fillings on chalcopyrite flotation.The effect of sodium silicate on the flotation of chalcopyrite is not obvious,and aluminum sulfate can not eliminate the deterioration of the flotation of chalcopyrite,but will worsen the flotation of chalcopyrite.When the stirring time was 30min and the stirring speed was greater than 1650r/min,the recovery rate of chalcopyrite increased by 6.08%.When the ultrasonic treatment time was 20min,the recovery rate of chalcopyrite increased by 6.51%.Both physical stirring and ultrasonic treatment could eliminate the deterioration effect of fillings on chalcopyrite flotation to a certain extent.(4)The flotation test of magnetic separation tailings of a low-grade copper sulfide ore in Anhui province was carried out.The results showed that the mixing of fillers would increase the pH value of pulp and slightly reduce the grade of copper in the mixed ore.When the mixing rate of filler is less than 3%,the copper recovery rate of copper in copper sulfide mixed coarse concentrate is little affected.When the mixing rate of filler is 5%,the copper recovery rate of mixed coarse concentrate decreases from 71.39%to 68.92%.When the mixing rate of filler was 9%,the recovery rate of mixed roughing copper was reduced by 3.26%.With the addition of fillers,the copper grade and recovery of copper sulfide concentrate decreased by 0.68%and 1.58%in the whole process flotation closed-circuit test.The recovery of copper and sulfur increased by 4.68%and 2.83%with ammonium sulfate modifier.Mechanical stirring for 30min can increase the recovery rate of copper and sulfur by 3.28%and 0.50%.The use of ammonium sulfate regulator and mechanical stirring can reduce the deterioration effect of filling on flotation of copper sulfide ore to a certain extent.
