Hazardous chemicals are highly flammable and explosive,and have significant toxicity.Once a leakage accident occurs,it has the potential to cause great damage to both man and the ecosystem,pose a great threat to public safety,and also bring great challenges to the emergency response.After an accident occurs,determining the location and level of the unknown source is imperative.At the same time,in the face of the complex site environment,it is particularly critical to plan the rescue path to the leak location.Therefore,to actively carry out the research of leakage source location method,it can provide more scientific,efficient and accuracy in emergency response to,and is essential for improving emergency response and enhancing public safety.Firstly,the relevant models and methods involved in the traceability and location of hazardous chemicals are systematically analyzed,including gas diffusion model,sensor selection and layout,data acquisition and processing methods,positioning algorithm and positioning accuracy evaluation,etc.Secondly,a tracing and locating model of hazardous chemicals is proposed,which integrated the gas diffusion model,sensor layout and optimization algorithm.The sensor’s recorded measurement values were compared with the diffusion model’s calculated distribution.The smallest difference between the two is taken as the search criterion.The optimal algorithm is used to iteratively optimize the objective function.Then,the sparrow search algorithm(SSA)is applied to the research on the source location of dangerous chemicals.The simulation results show that the results of the source location of hazardous chemicals based on SSA algorithm are satisfactory.Compared with GSO,GA and GWO algorithms,the SSA algorithm has the shortest calculation time(2.184 s)and small relative errors(Q0/g:12.828%,x0/m:0.011%,y0/m:0.689%).The algorithm has good convergence speed and accuracy,but some parameters still have large errors.Furthermore,according to the instability of the SSA algorithm in the later stage of source location and the insufficient location accuracy,three improvement measures are proposed:(1)using an improved logistic mapping to initialize the sparrow population position to improve the diversity of initial solutions;(2)integrating the control factor into the update strategy of finder and follower to balance the global and local search capabilities of the algorithm in the later stage of iteration;(3)applying an adaptive step size to evaluate the location update of the alerts in order to boost the system’s global search capacity.Through feasibility experiments,the error rates of the inverse parameters Q0,x0 and y0 are 1.091%,0.056%and 0.075%,respectively.The results show that the improved SSA algorithm has very accurate location results,significantly reduces the error rate of parameter Q0,and validates the effectiveness of the improved algorithm.The stability of the improved SSA algorithm is verified,and the outcome reveals the high stability and the high robustness of the algorithm.Thus,the improvement measures achieve the expected goal.Finally,the improved SSA algorithm is applied to the rescue path planning of hazardous chemical leakage.After determining the location and strength of the leak source,it is necessary to reach the location of the leak source for rescue.An environmental model is established to simulate the leakage environment of two different hazardous chemicals,and the effect of path planning is compared in known and unknown leakage scenarios.The data of the proposed algorithm are proved to have favorable performance in the path planning investigation of hazardous chemical tracking.The algorithm can search for shorter path length,fewer corners and shorter loss time.In conclusion,basing on the shortcomings of the original SSA algorithm in source tracing and locating,this paper proposes three improvement measures,and successfully applies the improved algorithm to two research dimensions of finding the location of the leak source and the path planning of the rescue site.The results show that the multi-strategy improved SSA algorithm has advantages in the problem of hazardous chemical tracing and locating.It will provide effective data support to strengthen the control level of hazardous chemicals,expand the emergency response capacity and enhance public security.
