| There are various garden plants in China, and large part of them are aromatic plants. The development and utilization of hydrosols are of great significance for how to effectively use the generous plant resources. In this research, the composition analysis and activity evaluation of 30 common hydrosols of garden plants were carried out,and the volatile components content, antioxidant and antibacterial activities of the hydrosols were tested respectively. The main results are summarized as follows:Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS)technology was used to analyze the volatile components of 30 hydrosols, and a total of 516 volatile components were detected.Among them, there are 26 kinds of hydrosols containing benzaldehyde and linalool,19 kinds containing nonanal, and 16 kinds containing geraniol. The contents of geraniol, linalool, benzaldehyde, nonanal and 2-hexenal can be used as the characteristic substances to identify and distinguish 30 hydrosols.Through principal component analysis,it was found that the volatile components of 18 Rosaceae plant pure dews were similar; The 30 kinds of hydrosols can be divided into four categories: 27 kinds of mixed hydrosols,Pittosporum tobira hydrosol,Chimonanthus praecox hydrosol and Orychophragmus violaceus hydrosol. The antioxidant activity of different hydrosols in vitro showed that Chimonanthus praecox hydrosol had the strongest scavenging ability to DPPH(1-Diphenyl-2-Trinitrophenylhydrazine Radical)and ABTS(2,2 ’-Diazo-Bis-3-Ethylbenzothiazoline-6-Sulfonic Acid Radical)radicals, and Campsis grandiflora hydrosol had the best antioxidant ability of FTC(Iron Thiocyanate Colorimetry). The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)test of different hydrosols on Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus haemolyticus-β 、 Propionibacterium acnes,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Listeria monocytogenes,Proteus vulgaris and Salmonella enteritis subsp.enterica was concluded in this research.Prunus mume f.purpurea hydrosol have the better inhibitory among 30 hydrosls, which are proved to have the inhibition against Staphylococcus aureus,Escherichia coli,Proteus vulgaris,Listeria monocytogenes,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Salmonella enteritis subsp.enterica. |
