Due to the high fuel economy,high power,and reliability,explosion-proof diesel engines are widely used as power sources for underground mine transportation equipment.However,due to the impact of explosion-proof renovation and harsh underground working environment,the exhaust of explosion-proof diesel engines contains multi-component pollutants.CO can cause irreversible damage to the human body,which has attracted much attention from society.With the increasingly strict emission standards for explosion-proof diesel engine exhaust and the increased emphasis on CO exceeding limit accidents by the country,the purification of CO emitted from explosion-proof diesel engine is attracting many researchers.Based on the principle of catalytic oxidation,this article designs and manufactures a exhaust CO purification device that does not require electric heating and has high purification efficiency.It can effectively reduce the CO concentration in the exhaust and ensure the health and safety of underground personnel.The main work of this thesis includes:(1)Improved hydrothermal and impregnation methods were used to prepare Cu/ceria-based catalysts with different morphologies(rod-shaped,cubic,spherical)and metal(Zn,Zr,Ti,La)doping.The physicochemical properties were characterized by XRD,XPS,N2 adsorption-desorption,Raman,H2-TPR,O2-TPD,and their CO catalytic activity was evaluated.The structure-activity relationship of Cu/ceria-based catalysts was established by regulating the metal-support interaction of Cu/ceria-based catalysts through shape modulating and metal doping.The active site of CO oxidation reaction was also studied and Cu+species are the decisive factor in improving catalyst performance.The proper catalyst will be used as the core purification material for exhaust CO purification devices in subsequent research.(2)A series of exhaust CO purification devices with different internal structure were designed and manufactured,using small diesel engines as purification objects.A diesel exhaust CO purification test bench was established to investigate the effects of catalyst particle size,charge amount,and internal structure of the purification device on backpressure and purification efficiency.By conducting small-scale basic experiments,a design basis is provided for the subsequent on-site application of the purification device.(3)Based on the basic experimental data of small diesel engine exhaust purification,a matching exhaust CO purification device is manufactured for explosion-proof diesel engines of monorail cranes,truck,and trackless rubber wheel cars.A steady-state cycle test on dynamometer bench is used to explore the purification performance of operating conditions and the impact on engine power performance is also conducted.Through real-time monitoring of CO concentration in the exhaust gas,the purification performance under long-term continuous operation is tested.This study designs and manufactures an exhaust CO purification device based on catalytic oxidation mechanism,which can effectively reduce the concentration of CO in the exhaust gas of explosion-proof diesel engines and the number of CO exceeding times.Purification device can improve the underground working environment of workers and ensure the health and safety of personnel.This technology provides a new idea for the prevention and control of harmful gases underground.
