| Silicone oil has low surface energy, excellent lubricity, thermal stability and hydrophobicity, and can be used as a finishing agent for fabrics, giving the finished fabric soft, fluffy, smooth and other styles. In practical applications, silicone oil often needs to be pre-made into "oil/water(W/O)" emulsion for use. However, the stability of high molecular weight amino silicone oil emulsion as a smoothing agent is poor.In order to obtain stable emulsion, the mass fraction of surfactant in silicone oil emulsion is sometimes as high as 50%.The high content of surfactant not only increases the production cost of silicone oil emulsion, but also reduces the efficiency of silicone oil adsorption fabric, resulting in the performance of finishing agent is reduced, and accompanied by high chemical oxygen demand(COD)finishing liquid, sewage treatment burden and other problems. Therefore,it is very important to develop new and efficient silicone oil emulsification system. This paper studies a Pickering silicone oil emulsification system based on surfactant and ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer(PEHA)was studied.PEHA particles were prepared by semi-continuous emulsion polymerization. The effects of particle size, dosage, surface hydrophilic modification(HPEHA)and MMA copolymerization(HP(EHA-MMA))on emulsion dispersion stability and droplet size were investigated. Finally, the Pickering system stabilized silicone oil emulsion was used for fabric finishing. The COD of the finishing residue, the surface friction coefficient of the finishing fabric and the slipping property are tested. The results show that:(1)In the semi-continuous emulsion polymerization, four sizes of ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer PEHA and surface hydrophilic modified ethylhexyl acrylate copolymer(HPEHA)with average particle size ranging from 90 nm to 180 nm were obtained by adjusting the emulsifier concentration and monomer composition in the seed polymerization. And ethylhexyl acrylate/methyl methacrylate copolymer(HP(EHAMMA)),and the emulsion particles dispersion stability;(2)The surfactant was combined with PEHA,HPEHA and HP(EHA-MMA)Pickering particles to form a synergistic stabilization system. The effects of Pickering particle size and dosage on the stability of silicone oil emulsion were investigated by static and centrifugal methods. The results showed that: Compared with the silicone oil emulsion stabilized by surfactant alone, the amount of surfactant can be reduced by 60%in the "surfactant /PEHA" synergistic stabilization system. On this basis, the dosage of Pickering particles can be reduced by about 80% by using the surfactant /HPEHA system;(3)Compared with the system stabilized by surfactant alone, the Pickering emulsion synergistic stabilization by "surfactant /HPEHA" has a higher adsorption efficiency. When the dosage of silicone oil emulsion is 10 g/L,the COD value in the finishing residue in the system stabilized by surfactant alone is 66,000 mg/L.The static and dynamic friction coefficients are 0.57 and 0.56,the COD value in the co-stabilized system is 35600mg/L,and the static and dynamic friction coefficients are 0.51 and 0.49.The fabric with synergistic stabilization silicone oil emulsion has lower surface friction coefficient and higher slip;(4)In the performance test of the slipping of the finishing fabric,it was found that after the surfactant stabilized the knitting fabric alone, the slipping of the fabric was easy, and the warp and weft values increased to 5.25 mm and 5.34 mm respectively; After changing the system of surfactant /HP(EHA-MMA)and surfactant/ HPEHA,respectively, the slime performance was modified. The slime performance decreased to 4.62 mm and4.85 mm respectively, and the slime performance decreased to 4.16 mm and 4.34 mm respectively. |
