Stellite alloy is a kind of high strength alloy steel,which is widely used in various fields of machining because of its good mechanical properties.However,because of its high strength and poor thermal conductivity,the cutting force and high cutting temperature will be generated during cutting.Therefore,it is of great significance to improve the turning process and save the processing cost to explore the turning performance of Stellite alloy.Through finite element simulation,the cutting process can be accurately predicted and the actual machining process can be optimized.This topic is mainly aimed at the end face turning process of Stellite alloy,including the following contents:(1)Deform-3D software was used to establish cutting simulation models,including the material models of Stellite alloy tools and workpieces,and the establishment of tool-workpiece contact relations.The accuracy of the simulation model is verified by orthogonal experiment and turning simulation.(2)Taking the cutting parameters and tool geometry parameters as the main parameters,orthogonal test table was designed to study the influence law of cutting speed,cutting depth and feed on the cutting force,cutting temperature and chip shape when turning Stellite alloy.Finally,parameter optimization was carried out to obtain the cutting parameters and tool geometry parameters that can effectively solve the above problems.(3)Taking cutting parameters and tool geometric parameters as the main parameters,orthogonal test table was designed to study the influence law of tool geometric parameters on cutting force and cutting temperature when turning Stellite alloy,and the cutting parameters and tool geometric parameters that can effectively solve the above problems were obtained.This paper studies the influence of cutting parameters and tool geometry parameters on the cutting process when turning the end face of Stellite alloy,which has certain reference value for improving the machining efficiency and cost in the actual machining process.
