At present,zinc electrodeposition anode mainly uses lead-silver alloy anode.There are many problems in the practical application of the anode,such as high oxygen evolution overpotential,low mechanical strength,lead corrosion prone to high lead content in the solution,which affects the quality of cathode zinc,etc.In order to improve the performance of the anode,fluoroborate system,nitrate system and perchlorate system are usually used to modify its surface.These three systems have strong corrosive equipment,plating bath wastewater is difficult to deal with,serious environmental pollution and other shortcomings.In this paper,based on the characteristics of methyl sulfonic acid(MSA)and titanium foam(TF),TF/β-Pb O2,TF/β-Pb O2/Mn O2,TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2 and TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 electrode materials were prepared by electrodeposition.Electrochemical workstation,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),X-ray diffractometer(XRD)and other detection methods were used to characterize the performance of the prepared electrodes.The main results are as follows:(1)TF/β-Pb O2 electrode was prepared by electrodeposition using TF as matrix and methyl sulfonate as system.The optimal preparation current density was 80m A·cm-2.Under such conditions,theβ-Pb O2 electrode was prepared with more obvious preferred orientation,tight grain bonding and uniform size.It has a small anode peak potential(Ep=1.135V)and a large anode voltammetric charge(q*=3.564×10-2C),indic ating high catalytic activity and good corrosion resistance.(2)TF/β-Pb O2 electrode materials prepared under optimized conditions were selected to prepare TF/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 under different manganese ion concentrations.When the concentration of manganese ion is 60g/L,the TF/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 electrode material has compact grain structure,large catalytic activity area,and lower oxygen evolution potential(2.217V),and better catalytic activity.(3)TF/Sb-Sn O2 was prepared by coating Sb-Sn O2 on TF base.When Sn:Sb was 6:1,XRD showed that the diffraction peaks of Sn O2 and Sb were the strongest and the coating effect was the best.(4)The prepared TF/Sb-Sn O2 matrix was selected and electrodeposited.When the current density was 30 m A·cm-2,the obtained TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2 electrode material had a tight grain structure,the largest catalytic active area and the lowest oxygen evolution potential.The catalytic activity is the best.(5)TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2 electrode material with the best performance was selected to prepare TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 under different current densities.When the current density is 30m A·cm-2,TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 electrode material has compact grain structure,large catalytic active area,lower oxygen evolution potential,higher corrosion potential and lower corrosion current density,and better corrosion resistance and catalytic activity.(6)TF/β-Pb O2,TF/β-Pb O2/Mn O2,TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2 and TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2/Mn O2were compared.The results showed that,TF/Sb-Sn O2/β-Pb O2/Mn O2 gradient electrode material with intermediate layer Sb-Sn O2 and outermost layer Mn O2 has better performance than the other three electrodes,and has lower cell voltage,higher current efficiency and less single energy consumption,so it has a good application prospect of zinc electrodeposition.
