The Influence Of Leisure Motivation And Well-being Satisfaction Of Urban Green Space Leisure Users On Ecological Compensation Intention

As an important part of urban ecological civilization construction,urban green spaces provide residents with places for leisure and entertainment.Urban green space belongs to public goods,and its value compensation has always been a concern for scholars and government departments.The attitude and willingness of leisure people to compensate for urban green space,to a large extent,reflect the degree to which urban green space meets the needs of leisure people,and the degree to which its externality function as a public product is realized.This article delves into the ecological compensation intentions of urban green space leisure enthusiasts,as well as the impact and mechanism of leisure motivation and well-being satisfaction on them.Based on the causal relationship generated by ecological compensation intention,this study divides the variables that affect residents’ ecological compensation intention into two categories:(1)basic variables,including leisure motivation and environmental attitude;(2)The strengthening variable is well-being satisfaction.After using the hierarchical regression analysis method,it was found that leisure motivation and environmental attitude as basic variables had an impact on ecological compensation intention,while welfare satisfaction as a strengthening variable played a certain moderating role.The main research conclusions are as follows:(1)Most green leisure enthusiasts in Haikou hold a neutral attitude towards green ecological compensation;(2)In terms of leisure motivation,compared to engaging in social activities,people tend to enjoy nature and relaxation more.Overall,residents have higher scores for enjoying nature and relaxation,maintaining a balanced attitude towards nature,and satisfaction with life,indicating that residents in Haikou have a higher overall satisfaction with their well-being The ecological compensation intention of green leisure enthusiasts is significantly positively correlated with the enjoyment of nature and relaxation,social activities,natural balance attitude,ecological environment crisis attitude,overall satisfaction evaluation,life state evaluation,and life satisfaction level,but not with human attitudes towards controlling nature.Life satisfaction has a higher predictive power on ecological compensation intention;(4)People who control their attitude towards nature generally have low satisfaction with their well-being,therefore their intention to compensate for ecology is also not high.People with high levels of life satisfaction are more willing to provide ecological compensation;(5)Some social and demographic factors can also affect the ecological compensation intention of leisure enthusiasts,mainly manifested as: there is no significant difference in ecological compensation intention between males and females among urban green space leisure enthusiasts in Haikou;The level of ecological compensation intention among young people is higher than that of the elderly population over 60 years old;The level of education also has a significant impact on residents’ ecological compensation intentions,with those with a bachelor’s degree or above having the highest compensation intentions,while those with illiterates and primary school degrees have lower compensation intentions.The intention of residents to ecological compensation shows a "V" shaped growth trend of first decreasing and then increasing with the increase of income.Finally,some countermeasures and suggestions were proposed:(1)The construction process of urban green spaces should pay attention to the construction of recreational areas and facilities,avoid blindly following the aesthetic of the Western lawn style,make good use of resources within the jurisdiction,and enrich the leisure properties of green spaces;(2)The government and all sectors of society should attach great importance to educating the people on the construction of ecological civilization,guiding them to change their attitudes towards natural balance and ecological environment crisis,and thereby increasing their intention to ecological compensation The government should attach importance to economic recovery and the construction of people’s spiritual civilization,improve people’s satisfaction with their well-being,make people more willing to give back to nature and the ecological environment,and ultimately achieve the goal of increasing ecological compensation intention;(4)Establish a sound ecological compensation system,which compensates the ecology to a certain extent through market means such as collecting ticket prices from beneficiaries,but not limited to.Stimulate the enthusiasm of the whole society to participate in ecological protection and ensure the construction of ecological civilization;(5)Strengthen education on environmental protection and ecological compensation for young people,and lay a mass foundation for the formation of a culture of respecting nature and protecting ecology in the entire society.
