Research On The Impact Of Carbon Information Disclosure In High-carbon Industries On Green Technology Innovatio

In recent years,environmental problems have become more and more serious,blue sky is difficult to see,stars are gone,especially greenhouse gas emissions such as carbon dioxide even contribute to global warming,extreme weather is frequent,causing great potential threats to human life,so the problem of carbon emissions has increasingly become the focal point of attention of all sectors of society.In 2016,the Ministry of Ecology and Environment called on enterprises to "establish a greenhouse gas information disclosure system",as the main body of carbon emissions,high-carbon enterprises face more stringent environmental supervision and carbon information disclosure requirements,and the original "pollution first and then treatment" development model is obviously no longer applicable,actively explore a new path of carbon emission reduction through green technology innovation is the only way for high-carbon enterprises to seek green transformation.Against this background,this paper focuses on high carbon enterprises information disclosure to research the influence of green technology innovation and further excavates the probable influence pathways.After reviewing the research status at domestic and abroad,this paper firstly in the related theoretical basis under the support of research hypotheses are put forward.Subsequently,the number of listed corporations in eight high carbon industries during 2016-2021 are selected as the research samples,and a carbon information disclosure evaluation framework as well as a fixed-effect model are established to conduct an empirical investigation on the influence of carbon information disclosure on enterprises’ green technology innovation using Stata software.The empirical results show that the carbon information disclosure of high-carbon enterprises significantly accelerates their green technology innovation activities;further,the mechanism of action test reveals that carbon information disclosure can promote enterprises’ green technology innovation through three paths: alleviating financing constraints,reducing agency costs and stimulating consumption.In addition,on the basis of empirical research,this paper selects the high-carbon enterprise Conch Cement as the case company,analyzes its carbon information disclosure level and green technology innovation for the past few years based on the micro evidence of the enterprise,and also finds that the positive impact of carbon information disclosure on green technology innovation is mainly achieved through external financing incentives,internal management optimization and sales incentives,which further verifies the empirical results.Finally,based on the research conclusions,this paper make recommendations from the perspectives of government and companies respectively.On the one hand,this study can promote the relevant national departments to establish and improve relevant policies and regulations,formulate a scientific and unified carbon information disclosure evaluation system,help enterprises further standardize carbon information disclosure,and help achieve the "dual carbon" goal as soon as possible.On the other hand,this paper uses Conch Cement as a case enterprise to conduct research and analysis of carbon information such as its emission reduction path and specific measures,which is advantageous to guide enterprises to actively put green technology innovation activities into effect and provide certain experience for similar enterprises in green transformation.
