Tourism is the largest socio-economic activity in the world, and the carbon emissions from the tourism industry contribute to global carbon emissions. In recent years,in the context of the “dual carbon” goals and high-quality development,low-carbon development of rural tourism has become one of the effective paths for sustainable and healthy development. This thesis plans to estimate the carbon emissions of rural tourist attraction and put forward carbon emission reduction measures, and explore the sustainable development path of rural tourist attraction under the background of ecological civilization construction and high-quality tourism development.By using the literature analysis method, this thesis combs the research contents of tourism carbon emissions, rural tourism carbon emission reduction and other aspects at home and abroad, mainly including the estimated list of tourism carbon emissions, tourism carbon emissions estimation, tourism carbon emission reduction and compensation countermeasures, builds the estimated list of carbon emissions of rural tourist attraction, and tamps the theoretical foundation of the study. The emission coefficient method is selected as the estimation method, and the Dawei Rural Tourism Demonstration Area in the suburb of Hefei and the Blue Mountain Bay tourist attraction around Chaohu Lake are taken as the case sites to obtain the types and quantities of energy consumed in the process of transportation, accommodation, leisure, landscape production, operation and management, and estimate the carbon emissions of carbon based energy consumption.Using the questionnaire survey method, take the above two tourist attraction as the case study, issue questionnaires to obtain tourists’ perceptions of low-carbon tourism,in order to provide more ideas for exploring carbon emission reduction countermeasures. The research finds that through scientific management, the internal transportation of rural tourist attraction can achieve zero carbon or low carbon emissions;Secondly, catering and leisure projects in the scenic spot have become the second largest space for carbon emission reduction in rural tourist attraction; The carbon emissions in the process of landscape production and scenic area management are relatively low;The low carbon tourism awareness of tourists in rural tourist attraction is low,but the practical willingness of low carbon tourism is high. Therefore,it is possible to guide their low-carbon tourism behavior through educational means.Combined with the carbon emission estimation results of rural tourist attraction and the survey of tourists’ low-carbon tourism awareness, the thesis puts forward carbon emission reduction countermeasures and suggestions,including:(1)reasonable planning to build a low-carbon transportation system of rural tourist attraction;(2)Scientific management to cultivate carbon sink resources and carbon emissions in rural tourist attraction;(3)Propaganda and education, guiding tourists to engage in pro environmental tourism behavior;(4)Clean production, encourage the energy conservation and emission reduction of the accommodation department in rural tourist attraction;(5)Promote the application of low-carbon technologies in tourism facilities to reduce carbon emissions through technological means. This study enriches the theory and method system of carbon emission estimation in rural tourist attraction, deepens the understanding of carbon emission reduction countermeasures in rural tourist attraction, and has a high reference value for promoting the healthy and sustainable development of rural tourist attraction and promoting their leap from large-scale development to high-quality development.
