At present,Chinese rubber planting industry has been adversely affected by prices and the new crown pneumonia epidemic,which have caused Chinese rubber production to continue to decline.However,rubber is widely used in life,and the contradiction between supply contradiction supply and demand has led to Chinese rubber still relying on imports from abroad.Rubber industry needs to innovate and develop,and at the same time,it also needs to solve the problems of environmental protection and cost in rubber production.With the continued highly development of Chinese economy,the basic construction has expanded rapidly,and the steel yield has shown significantly increased.However,there are also some environmental problems that need to be solved immediately in the steel production process,like how to make the steel industry in green,low-carbon and sustainable manner developments.In recent years,efficient development and utilization of abandoned steel slag has become a research hotspot.Steel slag has played an important role in road construction diversified construction,construction,and heavy metal-contaminated soil improvement,and the use of steel slag has become more diversified.Existing studies have shown that inorganic minerals can be used as a functional filler substitute for improving rubber production,it can reduce rubber production’s costs.Therefore,this study is used the modified steel slag,as a functional filler of rubber,to make an economical and environmentally friendly new material.The research contents of this paper are as followed:(1)Steel slag and grinding modifier simultaneously enter the vertical grinding for mechanized grinding at the same time,and "modification" in both mechanical and chemical aspects to obtain shield powder,changing the "interface problem" between steel slag and rubber system,and improving the dispersion performance of shield powder in the rubber system,so that it can better be combined with rubber.Through the analysis and test of shield powder,it is found that although the chemical composition and acidity of modified shield powder are the same as those of steel slag,its particle size is significantly smaller,the surface area increases,which are beneficial to the better dispersed of shield powder into the rubber material.(2)The shield powder/rubber reinforcing composite TH-0~TH-3 were prepared by partially replacing carbon black with shield powder as the rubber reinforcing functional filler.There is no adverse effect on the vulcanization performance of the rubber system by partially replacing carbon black with shield powder.The mechanical properties of the composites can be improved by properly replacing carbon black with shield powder,which indicates that it is feasible to use shield powder as a rubber reinforcing filler.With the increase in the amount of shield powder replacing carbon black,the horizontal and vertical combustion speed of the shield powder/rubber reinforcing composite is slightly reduced,Peak heat release rate increases.The SEM and Raman tests show that the carbon layer of TH-1~TH-3 were more tightly structured in the microstate than the carbon layer of TH-0,but excessive shield powder also destroys its structure and the graphitization degree of composites with shield powder were higher than TH-0,which was without shield powder.(3)The shield powder/rubber capacity expansion composites were prepared by partially replacing activated calcium carbonate with shield powder as the rubber capacity expansion function filler,which were named ZR-0~ZR-3.The research found that shield powder can be uniformly dispersed in rubber and can promote the vulcanization speed of shield powder/rubber compatibilized composites,increase the elasticity of composite materials,in the mechanical properties can also meet the relevant standards;Based on the research results that shield powder has certain flame retardant effects,the combustion performance and thermal stability of ZR-1~ZR-3show that when the substitution amount of shield powder is 60%,the flame retardant performance of composite material is optimal,and the shield powder can improve the carbonization rate of composite material.(4)The shield powder/rubber flame retardant composites Z-0~Z-3 were prepared by partially replacing aluminum hydroxide with shield powder as the rubber flame-retardant functional filler.After testing and analysis,the addition of appropriate shield powder instead of aluminum hydroxide has no adverse effect on the vulcanization properties and mechanical properties of composite materials;With the increase in the amount of shield powder replacing aluminum hydroxide,the horizontal and vertical combustion speed of the composite materials reaches the flame retardant grade.Although the peak heat release rate increases slightly increased slightly,the smoke suppression effect of the composite materials was reduced.The thermal stability of the rubber system is enhanced,which reduces the pyrolysis rate of the shield powder/rubber flame retardant composite material and improves the compactness of the carbon layer of the composite material.Through the excitation effect and performance regulation mechanism to form a porous structure-modified surface reinforcement system and Si-Mg,Si-Al,Si-Fe flame retardant-smoke elimination system,in order to improve the vulcanization,mechanics,flame retardant performance of shield powder/rubber flame retardant composites. |
