Study On Preparation And Mechanism Of Adsorption/degradation Dual-functional Formaldehyde Removal Composite Paper

Abstract/Summary:
Environmental issues have always been one of the issues of great concern to everyone.Formaldehyde,as an indoor gas pollutant,has been listed as Class I carcinogen by the International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC).At present,research on formaldehyde removal mainly focuses on porous materials and photocatalytic materials,but their practical applicability is poor.And plant fibers have a large reserve and are biodegradable,making them into formaldehyde removal materials has very broad commercial value.This study uses hardwood sulfate pulp,diatomaceous earth powder,hydrated calcium silicate powder,zeolite powder,activated carbon powder,and calcium carbide powder as raw materials,and uses diethylenetriamine(EDTA)to modify hardwood sulfate fibers through amination.Using formaldehyde as the target pollutant,a laboratory made sealed box was used to simulate indoor and other environments for testing the formaldehyde removal performance.Three types of formaldehyde removal base papers were studied,and three types of formaldehyde removal composite papers were prepared by combining them in pairs.(1)A natural formaldehyde removal biomaterial was prepared by amination modification of hardwood kraft pulp using epichlorohydrin and EDTA.Research has found that the mass ratio of sulfate hardwood fiber to epichlorohydrin is 1:5,the alkali concentration is 8%,and the mass ratio of epoxidized fiber to diethylenetriamine is 1:3.The aminated cellulose fiber modified by this method is prepared into aminated cellulose fiber base paper,and the formaldehyde removal rate within 1 hour is 77.15%.(2)By comparing and analyzing diatomaceous earth powder,hydrated calcium silicate powder,zeolite powder,activated carbon powder,and calcium carbide powder,activated carbon powder and calcium carbide powder were selected to be added to the slurry,and a functional material for formaldehyde removal was prepared.The experimental results show that the mass ratio of sulfate hardwood fiber to functional material is 1:1(the mass ratio of formaldehyde removal functional material activated carbon powder to calcium carbide powder is 1:1),and the formaldehyde removal rate of the prepared pulp with formaldehyde removal functional material added to the base paper is 69.53% within 1 hour.(3)Exploring the formaldehyde removal coating,the experimental results showed that a coating with a solid content of 25% and a color to adhesive ratio of 7:3(including activated carbon powder and electrical stone powder of 2:3)was used as a coating for the subsequent preparation of formaldehyde removal composite paper.The formaldehyde removal rate of the formaldehyde removal coating base paper prepared with it was 59.54% within 1 hour.(4)In order to improve the formaldehyde removal performance of formaldehyde removal paper,a formaldehyde removal coating,addition of formaldehyde removal functional material slurry,and combination of amino cellulose fibers were used to prepare formaldehyde removal composite paper.The combination of amino cellulose fiber and formaldehyde removal functional material slurry is used to form formaldehyde removal composite paper 1#,the combination of amino cellulose fiber and formaldehyde removal coating is used to form formaldehyde removal composite paper2#,and the addition of formaldehyde removal functional material slurry and formaldehyde removal coating are used to form formaldehyde removal composite paper3#.The formaldehyde removal rates of composite paper 1#,2#,and 3# within 1 hour were 92.62%,74.51%,and 83.45%,respectively.Comparing and analyzing the formaldehyde removal composite paper 1# with the formaldehyde removal finished paper,the timeliness of the formaldehyde removal finished paper is slightly higher than that of the formaldehyde removal composite paper 1#,and the long-term performance of the two is basically the same.The cycling performance of the formaldehyde removal finished paper is lower than that of the formaldehyde removal composite paper 1#.
