| With the development of industrialization around the world,the problem of heavy metal pollution in soil is becoming increasingly serious,posing a serious threat to the survival of humans,animals and plants.Ecological remediation of heavy metal contaminated soil through the use of plants with heavy metal enrichment capabilities is a very necessary topic.Festuca elata and Lolium perenne are two species of grass in the Gramineae family.They are often used as lawn grass due to their excellent turf properties,and are also used for remediation of heavy metal contaminated soil due to their heavy metal enrichment capabilities.Piriformospora indica is an endophytic fungus that colonizes plant roots and forms a symbiotic relationship with the host plant,improving the stress resistance of the host plant.In this experiment,two turf grasses were used as research materials to explore the morphological and physiological responses of the two turf grasses under Cu stress after inoculation with Piriformospora indica,in order to provide basic theoretical support for the remediation of Cu contaminated soil by Piriformospora indica combined with Festuca elata and Lolium perenne.The main test results are as follows:(1)Cu stress can increase the occurrence of stomatal apparatus in Festuca elata and Lolium perenne.Inoculation with Piriformospora indica has a stronger promoting effect on the occurrence of stomatal apparatus in both turfgrasses,and both turfgrasses exhibit a certain degree of plasticity to Cu stress.(2)Cu stress inhibits the fresh weight,root growth,and root activity of Festuca elata and Lolium perenne.Inoculation with Piriformospora indica can improve plant resistance by promoting the fresh weight,root growth,and root activity of both turfgrasses.(3)Cu stress inhibits photosynthesis in Festuca elata and Lolium perenne,affects chlorophyll synthesis,reduces plant stomatal conductance and net photosynthetic rate,and inhibits chlorophyll fluorescence parameters(Yield,Fv/Fm,NPQ,and q P)to varying degrees.Inoculation with Piriformospora indica can promote plant chlorophyll synthesis,increase stomatal conductance and net photosynthetic rate,and reduce the inhibition of Cu stress on chlorophyll fluorescence.(4)Cu stress inhibits damage to the cell membrane of Festuca elata and Lolium perenne,increased relative conductivity,and increased MDA content.Inoculation with Piriformospora indica could reduce the damage to the cell membrane caused by Cu stress.(5)Cu stress activated the osmotic regulation system and antioxidant enzyme system regulation ability of Festuca elata and Lolium perenne,increased the content of soluble sugar and protein,and increased the activities of CAT,POD,APX,and SOD.Inoculation with Piriformospora indica can enhance the osmotic regulation ability and antioxidant enzyme activity of the plant,and improve the stress resistance of the plant.The comprehensive evaluation results showed that inoculation with Piriformospora indica could increase the resistance of Festuca elata and Lolium perenne to Cu stress,and the resistance of Lolium perenne to Cu stress was better than that of Festuca elata. |
