As a hard powder,Glass powder has stable properties, good wear and corrosion resistance, and is widely used in construction, aerospace, automotive and other fields. In order to explore a new nickel-based coating with excellent wear and corrosion resistance,Ni60 powder and Glass powder particles were mixed to prepare nickel-based Glass powder composite coatings with different content on 45 steel substrate by flame spr aying technology. The friction and wear properties of composite coatings with different content under different loads were studied, and the corrosion resistance of composite coatings with different content in H 2SO4 solution and Na Cl solution was investigated. The surface and cross-section morphology, element distribution and phase structure of the composite coatings with different content were tested and analyzed by SEM,EDS and XRD.The results show that with the increase of Glass powder content, the distribution of Glass powder in coating changes from sporadic distribution at first to uniform distribution, and finally to aggregated distribution of Glass powder. The element distribution in the coating is obvious, the Glass powder particles are rich in eleme nts such as Si,O,Al and Mg,and the main phases in the composite coatings are Ni,Ni3Fe,Cr23C6,Cr2B,Si O2,Al2O3,Mg O and Al2Fe Si.The microhardness of the composite coating was tested by a microhardness tester. The results showed that the hardness values of the surface and section of the composite coating with 10%Glass powder are the highest,Which are 678 HV 0.2 and681 HV0.2 respectively. In the study of the friction and wear properties of five Glass powder contents composite coatings under different loads, the friction coefficient and wear rate of composite coatings under 10 N load are the lowest. And the friction coefficient and wear rate of the composite coating increase with the increase of load.In addition, with the increase of Glass powder content, the friction coefficient and wear rate of the composite coating under three loads show a trend of decreasing first and then increasing. The friction coefficient and wear rate of 10%Glass powder composite coating are the lowest under three loads. The wear morphology is slightly worn and the wear resistance is excellent. The corrosion resistance of composite coatings with different Glass powder contents in H2SO4 solution was studied. The results showed that the corrosion current density of 10%Glass powder composite coating is lower than that of other coatings, but the polarization resistance is higher than that of other coatings.By studying the corrosion morphology, the surface of 10%Glass powder composite coating is free from obvious corrosi on and has excellent corrosion resistance. The corrosion resistance of coatings with different content in Na Cl solution was tested. The results showed that the10%Glass powder composite coating has the lowest corrosion current density(1.244×10-6 A/cm2)and the highest polarization resistance(27638.7Ω·cm2).And XPS analysis showed that the composite coating formed a dense oxide film consisting of Cr2O3,Si O2 and Al2O3 oxides in both corrosion solutions. |
