Research On The Impact Of Environmental Regulations That Based On The “Emission Peak And Carbon Neutrality” Policy On Performance Of Petrochemical Enterprises

In recent years,with the release of “Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality”policy in our country.The economy situation is keep changing.All kinds of policy influence enterprise much especially in production and business operation.In the angle of economy construction,petrochemical industry is one kind basic industry in the whole industrial system in our country.According to those statistics from China Energy Statistical Yearbook.By the end of 2020,Carbon emission cause by petrochemical industry almost 1.4 billion ton till the end of 2020,about 12%in total carbon emission in China.After reading so many researches and lectures.Not even one is focus on Environmental Regulations which based on the “Emission Peak and Carbon Neutrality” policy on the performance of petrochemical enterprises.This means that there are still some studies remain to be down.This article begin with the definition of environmental regulations,Fully consider about the policy that made by the government and all the measures which has been settled in the past few year.Based on previous research on environmental regulation and corporate performance,mathematical models such as Difference in Difference(DID)were used to quantitatively analyze the impact of environmental regulation on corporate performance,The final conclusion of the study is that in the short term,environmental regulations under the background of "dual carbon" will have a positive effect on the performance of enterprises in the petrochemical and chemical industry,which is conducive to further production and operation activities of enterprises.While drawing the above conclusions,this article proposes several targeted suggestions based on the operational characteristics of petrochemical industry enterprises.
