The use of old scattered coal heating stoves in rural areas,resulting in high pollutant emissions,has attracted widespread attention.Biomass pellets is the use of biomass as raw material,after extrusion and other densification processing,biomass processing into molding fuel,it can not only replace scattered coal for winter heating,but also can reduce the incineration of straw,wood and other agricultural either forestry waste,improve the utilization rate of biomass resources.However,the benefits of biomass pellets instead of scattered coal heating stoves are not clear in existing studies,and many studies have not quantified environment benefit.In this study,biomass pellets and scattered coal were used as the research objects,a life cycle inventory was collected,and the environmental impact assessment of biomass pellets and scattered coal was evaluated by using the life cycle assessment method,and the environmental benefits brought by the two were compared.The LCA results of the mining,processing,transportation,combustion and utilization process of scattered coal showed that the total environmental impact index of scattered coal was 40.648,including ADP,POCP and TETP results had the highest impact index.The environmental data of biomass growth and planting,collection and transportation,fuel processing,fuel supply,combustion and heating were collected and evaluated,the evaluation index with the greatest impact of biomass pellets was POCP,accounting for more than 50%,followed by ADP,EP,HTP,etc.between 5% ~ 15%.The total environmental impact index of biomass pellets is 4.572 for corn stalks pellets and 4.563 for wood pellets.Finally,the effects of planting allocation ratio,transportation mileage and processing technology on the e life cycle results were analyzed,and the uncertainty results of biomass pellets showed that the uncertainty of the quality of the data collected in the data list on LCA results had no significant effect.Finally,the study puts forward suggestions for the promotion of biomass pellets in the future.It is believed that the development of biomass pellets needs to be included in the priority of clean heating renovation by the local government,and coordinated with the rural revitalization strategy.At the same time,improve the biomass pellets supply system,unify the quality standards of biofuels,and regularly check the quality of fuels to ensure that the production quality meets the standards.The technical path and mode of biomass heating are selected according to local conditions,and household biomass water heating stoves are mainly promoted as the preferred heating method in rural areas.Build a sound standard,supervision and evaluation system for the whole industry chain of biomass clean heating,and promote the reform of local biomass clean heating financial subsidy mechanism. |
