According to the requirements of the 14 th Five Year Plan for Civil Aviation Development,China’s civil aviation industry will usher in a three-year growth period after the recovery period of the COVID-19,when China’s civil aviation will have a new round of rapid development. At the same time, with the development of the aviation industry, the pressure on the safe operation of civil aviation will also significantly increase.Especially with China’s vast territory and diverse climate change,in order to improve flight efficiency, civilian transport aircraft have become more normalized in operating on contaminated runways.According to statistics, nearly half of fatal accidents occur during takeoff or landing, with runway excursion being the main type of accident or symptom. Therefore,it is important to strengthen research on the operation of contaminated runways.Standing water,as a common runway pollutant, has a significant impact on the performance of aircraft during takeoff and landing. On the one hand, the standing water will directly generate a certain amount of resistance to the tire, and on the other hand, the water mist splashed up after the tire collides with the standing water at high speed will also generate resistance to the fuselage. These two parts of resistance are collectively referred to as additional resistance. The calculation of additional resistance for standing water runways is currently mainly based on a widely recognized empirical formulas proposed by ESDU.With the development of high-performance computers, numerical simulation methods have gradually become an effective means to research the forces acting on objects or structures.Based on the method of Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics, this thesis uses explicit analysis software LS-DYNA to simulate the additional resistance of standing water.By comparing it with NASA’s splash experiment, the feasibility of the Smooth Particle Hydrodynamics method for researching this topic is verified.Subsequently, based on the framework of the validation model,a simulation calculation model for the additional resistance of a regional airliner was constructed, and the simulation results were compared and analyzed, and reasonable suggestions for optimizing the additional resistance calculation formula were proposed.
