| Research on the preparation and properties of polymer composites has been paid much attention. The technical difficulty is how to control the uniform distribution of particles in the polymer matrix in a simple, economical, efficient and green way,so as to obtain high performance polymer/composite materials. In this paper, graphene stably dispersed in water was prepared by mechanical stripping.Graphene/Nylon 6 composites and graphene/alumina/nylon 6 composites were obtained by optimizing the preparation process by water-assisted melting and mixing. The mechanism of water-promoted dispersion of graphene(GN)particles in polymer matrix was explored. The effects of filler on thermal stability, mechanical properties, crystallization properties and thermal conductivity of the composites were studied by adjusting the dispersion of graphene and alumina(Al2O3)in the composites. The mechanical stripping method was used to peel graphite with FDN as the stripping agent. The graphene obtained had fewer defects, with a size of about 4μm and about 5-8 layers.Graphene dispersed stably in an aqueous solution. The graphene/Nylon 6 composites were prepared by water-assisted melting with APAM to increase the viscosity of GN aqueous dispersion. It was found that the dispersion of GN in polymer can be improved by adjusting the process, and APAM could assist in stripping and dispersing of GN.The average particle size of GN in PA6 decreased from 5.78μm to 1.93μm.Good dispersibility endowed the composites with higher thermal stability and mechanical properties.GN/Al2O3/PA6 composites were prepared by mixing GN/Al2O3 aqueous with PA6 using water-assisted melting and mixing technology. The results showed that the thermal conductivity of composites can be improved obviously by the combination of Al2O3 and GN.When the Al2O3 content was more than 40%,the thermal conductivity of GN/Al2O3/PA6 increased by 146%. |
